It's officially out! DIVINE CARNAGE coming 2027! I cannot wait to get this unhinged piece of chaos into reader's hands. #debutnovel @gracedemyan @RebeccaTheGeek
Ahhhhh I can’t wait for your feedback
Doing some beta reading today, and absolutely loving it!!! Are you sure this is a first draft? Cause it is perfection. @AlessSpaulding
Deleted social media from my phone and lo and behold, four days later I finished the first draft of DIVINE RUIN.
Coincidence? I think not.
Also, ahhhhhhhhh!
Reason 4 that I’m basically my FMC:
I also respond to discomfort and actual threats of bodily harm with snark and sarcasm.
Reason 3 that I’m just like the main character of my novel:
I also have a soft spot for a bad boy I can fix.
Reason 2 that I am basically the main character of my novel:
I also live on caffeine and candy while focusing on an important job.
It’s come to my attention that I am basically the main character of my novel:
Reason 1: I just jogged ten minutes down the road chasing my son in flats and now I’m hunched over at a table of a coffee shop begging for death.
I’ve been reading a lot of ebooks and fancy hardcovers lately but picking up a mass market paperback is the essence of nostalgia.
This week, in drafting, we have disembodied table voices, palimpsest worlds, and creepy people in mirrors.
April 1st is no joke with @gracedemyan. The race for 30K begins today and you know I ain’t a quitter. Let’s go!!! @LexiHeathermoor @ElizabethKaida @itsDev_James
Replaying the Witcher with my husband and wondering why he’s wasting his time on insignificant things like plot-related quests when he should be focused on the true purpose of the game: Gwent. #GamingCommunity
Yes! I’m in awe of you each time I read. Romance is all about relationships and you do it so well.
Learning so much about stupid little things called feelings that I like to shove down and avoid.
The number of times I have seen other authors bashing romance writers is truly astounding, and as someone who writes said genre, it’s hard not to take it personal. I spend A LOT of time considering the emotional growth of my characters, the banter, the tension, their interiority, and yes, the sex, but because I’m not writing what these “high brow” gatekeepers consider to hold literary value, I’m a hack? Someone who writes romance because it’s the “easy way out.”
As KT so eloquently put it, romance ≠ smut.
Obsessed with Remy ❤️❤️❤️
He’s the MC who snagged my agent, who kept multiple readers up all night just for another second with him, who occasionally shows up in this space to flirt with my friends, and now he’s here in color.
From 💋CANDY COATED MISERY💋, I give you Daphne and Remy:
