-new salary minimums
-no difference in pay b/w employees in NYC and those living elsewhere
-six weeks of severance pay for EVERY worker from day one
-health care coverage, PTO, and paid holidays for part-time workers

There are Editors in Chief at @Hearst brands who are eligible for bonuses that are NEARLY DOUBLE what some of our lowest paid employees make.
How is that fair?
We need equity. Now.
Pay us what we're worth, @Hearst! We know you can afford it. Some execs' bonuses have been HIGHER than our lowest-paid union employees' salaries, and we will not stand for that kind of inequality. ✊

For folx who still don't get it - when we say "defund the police" this is what we are talking about. Police will never be the right response here. Move resources to people who are trained to respond and deescalate with people in mental health crises!
