It’s a beautiful day to set sail with the next pieces of Neutron flight hardware to Launch Complex 3. Earlier today we sent Neutron’s Stage 2 and Thrust Module out of the Neutron Factory and onto a barge for transport through Chesapeake Bay to Wallops Island in Virginia. Once it arrives, the Thrust Module will go straight onto the launch mount at LC-3 for check outs and the beginning of wider systems demonstrations including integrated fluids tests and module-to-launch-mount interface checkouts. With no strongback on the launch mount by design, Neutron’s Thrust Module is the rocket’s only physical interface to the launch pad, which this upcoming test campaign enables us to test early before the entire vehicle comes together.

Leo Vulcan 1 (LV-01) payload on the move. LV-01 is the first of 38 Leo missions on @ulalaunch’s heavy-lift Vulcan rocket, and last week, teams successfully transported the 40-satellite payload—encapsulated inside a 70-foot-tall fairing—to the new Amazon Vertical Integration Facility (VIF-A) at Cape Canaveral.

‘Taking Flight’ (nearly).  Our beautiful Artemis III Space Launch System (SLS) Core Stage left the surface of the earth (briefly) today as it ‘flew over the hump’ via a giant crane in the Vehicle Assembly Building to be mated between our 2 already assembled Solid Rocket Boosters on the Mobile Launcher.  Spectacular job by our SLS, Exploration Ground Systems, and  @NASAKennedy team! Go @NASAArtemis III!

Big move, bigger mission! The Artemis III Space Launch System core stage moved to the transfer aisle at NASA Kennedy. Next up – teams will lift and integrate the massive 212-foot-rocket with the solid rocket boosters as we prepare for the next giant leap in lunar exploration.

So I guess two rolls tonight wasn't enough? Now that Booster 22 is off the OLM, there is ANOTHER delay tonight for it to roll back to the barn. Ship 43 is back at Production now, and Ship 42 is likely to leave soon. 🎥: nsf.live/starbase | @NASASpaceflight
