As a man, set boundaries. I find it very insulting, unpleasant, dishonorable and disrespectful to call my friends’ wives by their names. Instead I call them “Mama” or “Mummy Kinikan” other than calling them by their names directly. And Yes, I don’t need the husbands to even like it or not. That’s my way of respecting their wives. Even my elder brother’s wife, despite that I’m very much and comfortably older than her, I don’t address her by her name. I call her “Anty Kinikan” or by her daughter’s name as “Mommy Aisha.” Some of you will even go a long way to hug other people’s wives in the name of friendship with the husbands. Please, don’t be so STEWPID to Hug my wife when you aren’t her family (direct sibling). Mo ma kpa’e danu ni o…

When Makinde stood with us during ENDSARS, JUNE 12 protests, stood with us against Twitter ban, we all concluded he was good enough to be president. He is running to be president today you’re asking for his pathway. HIS PATHWAY IS COMPETENCE WE WILL VOTE COMPETENCE

If your reason for wanting to vote APC is because you want a Yoruba President, I beg you in the name of God, VOTE SEYI MAKINDE!!! He’s credible, his education is not in question, his source of wealth before he came into politics is not questionable and he was an EXCELLENT Governor for 7years+!!!

I’m allowed to support the candidate I genuinely believe is better without being accused of hiding from accountability or secretly working for Tinubu.

You can believe Obi is the best choice. I can believe Makinde is. Stop pretending your preferred candidate automatically makes everyone else’s choice a conspiracy.
A month + to elections and Seyi Makinde has fans. 😁😁😁😁😁😁👏 Everybody knows what they are doing.

This argument is built on one lazy assumption: that anyone who refuses to support Peter Obi must secretly be supporting Tinubu. No. If I support Seyi Makinde, it is because I believe he is the better candidate not because I’m hiding Tinubu support.
My hot take this morning is that those of you who are Seyi Makinde and Sowore supporters are just Tinubu supporters with no balls. You clearly know that the election is between Peter Obi and Tinubu, but since you don’t support Obi and don’t have the balls to publicly support Tinubu, you declare your support for either Seyi Makinde or Sowore, who obviously cannot win the presidential election in January. You just want to divide votes for absolutely no reason. What some of you don’t understand is that the APC desperately needs votes to be divided. I believe Seyi Makinde is a good aspirant, but you and I know that he is not Tinubu’s competition. He doesn’t have what it takes to win the presidential election in January. So tell me, exactly why are you people so desperate to divide the votes? We see through you and the corn in your pocket. All those gimmicks na just fugazzi. We are done pleading with you people to vote wisely. Do as you like. If the country spoils beyond what it is now, all of us will still suffer the consequences. Or do you think I’m the only one who will probably have to buy fuel at ₦2,000 per litre?

He betrayed Kofoworola Bucknor-Akerele, his first deputy governor in Lagos State. She was part of the political arrangement that brought him to power in 1999. Their relationship eventually collapsed over irreconcilable differences, and she resigned in 2002 He betrayed Rauf Aregbesola, one of his most consequential political associates. Aregbesola was instrumental to the political structure that sustained his influence across the Southwest. Yet, when the struggle over Osun’s political succession emerged, he backed Gboyega Oyetola, his preferred candidate and cousin, against the interests of Aregbesola. He betrayed the Christian stakeholders within his own political party. In 2015, he supported a Muslim-Christian presidential ticket, with Muhammadu Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo. In 2022, having secured the APC presidential nomination, he selected Kashim Shettima, another Muslim, as his running mate. He betrayed the expectations of Nigerians who voted for the APC in 2015. The party campaigned on change, security, economic recovery, anti-corruption and a promise to do things differently. Millions of Nigerians abandoned the PDP and entrusted the APC with their future. They were promised a government that would restore confidence in public institutions and improve living conditions. Today, Nigerians have every right to ask whether the promises that mobilised them were campaign instruments or genuine commitments. He betrayed Nigerians again in 2023. The APC campaigned on economic prosperity, renewed hope, improved security and a better standard of living. Nigerians were asked to endure sacrifices in anticipation of a better tomorrow. Subsidy removal came almost immediately after inauguration, followed by a dramatic depreciation of the naira, escalating food prices and a cost-of-living crisis. Whatever the arguments for economic reforms, the question remains: where was the corresponding preparation, cushioning and institutional capacity to protect ordinary Nigerians from the consequences? He betrayed the expectations of Nigerians on security. The APC came to power in 2015 partly because of the country’s deteriorating security situation. Buhari was elected on the promise that terrorism, insurgency and insecurity would be confronted decisively. Tinubu subsequently inherited the same national security challenge and promised to improve the situation. Yet Nigerians continue to contend with kidnapping, banditry, terrorism and violent attacks. Communities still mourn, families still negotiate for the release of abducted relatives, and farmers still struggle to return safely to their farms. His supporters call him T-pain, who exactly is this T-pain ?
He betrayed Atiku Abubakar in 2023, the same man who played a significant role in his emergence in 2019 and funded part of his election day expenses. He betrayed the coalition in 2019, a coalition of political veterans who sacrificed their personal ambitions to work for his emergence. Their decision came at a cost, not only to them but also to several down ballot candidates who were affected by the political arrangement. He betrayed Governor Ademola Adeleke in 2022. Despite the support Imole gave him in 2019, he went into the Adeleke family and backed a family member against Imole. What a remarkable display of political ingratitude. He betrayed Senator Hosea Agboola, a man who was instrumental to the PDP's popularity in Oke Ogun. He went as far as empowering political actors to challenge Halleluyah's authority in the region. They messed the easy going politician. He betrayed Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, his running mate in 2019. After benefiting from their joint political journey, he influenced the Oyo State House of Assembly to impeach the very man who served as his deputy. He betrayed Chief Bisi Ilaka and Engr. Joseph Tegbe. He sacrificed their political ambitions on the altar of his personal ambition, only to leave them out in the cold afterwards. What a pity. He betrayed Mukaila Lamidi Auxiliary. After using Auxiliary and his boys to intimidate and attack APC loyalists in the build up to the 2023 elections, he turned around and abandoned him to face the consequences, including sending him to Agodi. He betrayed Oriyomi Hamzat. This was a man who openly and passionately campaigned for his re-election in 2023. Yet, after victory was secured, Oriyomi suddenly became a political liability. He betrayed Engr. Dotun Sanusi. In both the 2019 and 2023 elections, Ilaji was instrumental to his political success. Just days before the 2023 election, after failing to honour an earlier commitment, he approached Ilaji privately to seek his support. Ilaji accepted his apology and worked for his re-election. But once victory came, the same Ilaji was discarded. He betrayed the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland and the entire Muslim community. Ahead of the 2023 election, he reportedly entered into an understanding with Muslim leaders that power would be handed over to a Muslim in 2027 if they supported him against another Muslim candidate in 2023. They trusted his words. Today, they are wondering what manner of man he is. He betrayed Adeniyi Rotimi Johnson, a loyal supporter dating back to their days in the SDP. After securing victory, he turned his back on a man who had stood by him and shut him out of his administration. Completely. He betrayed Theo Abu Agada. How? Story for another day. But Theo will never forgive him for running against his candidate after the inglorious Ibadan declaration. His supporters call him MAMBA. Who exactly is this MAMBA?

No o. We no really need good roads for Oyo State. “He betrayed Lameda” “He betrayed Tamedo” Na wetin concern some youths be this 😂. Seyi Judas Abiodun Iscariot Makinde 🤣
Drove along Iwo Road–Adegbayi and Gate–Adegbayi, and the roads are impressive. Drove through at night, and the streetlights were fully lit, illuminating the entire stretch. Sometimes, governance is not rocket science. Identify what needs to be done, prioritise the people, execute the projects and let the results speak. Seyi Makinde is showing us what purposeful infrastructure development can look like. Where roads go, development follows.

Supporting Tinubu because you think he is more electable is your choice, not evidence that he is the better choice.

I’m not hiding behind Seyi Makinde, and you cannot tell me you love him more than we do. My question is simple: if you claim Tinubu has done absolutely nothing, what exactly do you think Seyi Makinde could have achieved as governor without considering the economic policies, federal decisions and financial conditions affecting every state? And let me make my own position clear: I’m not hiding If I genuinely believed Seyi Makinde had a realistic chance in the presidential race, I would have no problem supporting him. But I’m also not going to pretend that political sentiments automatically translate into electoral victories. I don’t believe Peter Obi is in a position to win, and I don’t believe Seyi Makinde is either. So, based on my own political calculation, my vote goes to TINUBU. That’s my position. I don’t need to disguise it with another candidate’s name to make it acceptable to anybody Some people will never admit their actual political calculations because they are afraid of how their own people will perceive them. I won’t do that. And if you’re supporting Seyi while refusing to have an honest conversation about his electoral prospects, then I question whether you’re genuinely backing a candidate you believe can win or simply looking for a politically convenient Yoruba alternative. I would rather state my political position openly than hide behind a candidate I don’t believe can win
