This is a classic case of manufacturing controversy where none exists. First, how exactly did Alhaji Mala Kachalla become Kashim Shettima’s political mentor, and on what basis are you suggesting that Shettima has disrespected him? When Mala Kachalla was governor of Borno State from 1999 to 2003, Shettima was still building his career in the banking sector. They were not political contemporaries in the sense you are trying to suggest, nor were they members of the same political party. So, where exactly is this supposed political relationship that Shettima has allegedly betrayed? If you are going to make such claims, the least you can do is establish the facts. Second, where exactly has Vice President Kashim Shettima insulted former President Muhammadu Buhari, a man he regards as a father figure? Please, provide the specific statement, the date, and the context. Disagreeing with someone politically is one thing; insulting someone you respect is another. You cannot simply manufacture an allegation and expect people to accept it as fact. Similarly, where has Shettima insulted Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, whom he regards as a brother and friend? What exactly did he say, and when did he say it? If you have evidence, present it. Otherwise, your argument is nothing more than an attempt to create an impression without substantiating it. Third, the attempt to portray Shettima as someone who would denigrate his Northern political colleagues merely to please President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is equally speculative. Working with a principal and demonstrating political loyalty do not automatically amount to betraying one's roots, mentors, or friends. You need evidence to establish such a serious accusation. Fourth, your argument about how Shettima emerged as Tinubu’s running mate is a weak attempt to diminish his political standing. The APC leadership made its choice, and the party's ticket won the 2023 presidential election. You may disagree with the process or the political outcome, but that does not erase Shettima's contributions or make him a politically inconsequential figure. Finally, the word “Kachalla” cannot automatically be interpreted as an insult to the late political figure simply because it was used in a political exchange. Context matters. If you contend that it was deliberately used to ridicule Mala Kachalla or demean his legacy, demonstrate that intention rather than asking the public to accept your interpretation as established fact. You cannot claim to defend the dignity of Northern political leaders while simultaneously making unsubstantiated allegations against another Northern leader. Criticise Kashim Shettima's policies, decisions, and political positions if you must. But do so with verifiable facts, specific examples, and intellectual honesty. Political disagreement is legitimate. Manufacturing personal disrespect out of assumptions and presenting those assumptions as facts is not. – at Macau
“KACHALLA”: SHETTIMA INDEED LACKS RESPECT When VP Atiku Abubakar @atiku remarked that Kashim @KashimSM @officialSKSM lacked respect, many Nigerians may not have grasped what he was alluding to. It’s not just about Kashim’s disrespect for him. Nope, far from it. Kashim can go to far lengths just to earn the trust of and show loyalty to Bola @officialABAT, the hallmark of which is denigrating anyone especially from Arewa - whether President Buhari, VP Atiku or Nasir El-Rufai @elrufai - whose record of achievements or current political stance expose Bola’s abysmal performance, shatter his propaganda of stolen or deceptive achievements, pose a threat to his undeserved reelection bid, or puncture his over-bloated ego which his sycophantic appointees and appointment seekers trample over themselves to massage. Attached are pictures of Alhaji Mala KACHALLA, the Executive Governor of Borno State from 1999 to 2003, who is also Kashim’s father politically. If Shettima had an iota of regard for him, he would have vehemently pushed back and fought anyone who gives negative connotation to his father’s name “KACHALLA”, or use it in a contemptuous manner against political opponents akin to how some uncouth Southerners use “ABOKI” to spite Northerners. Even if he lacks that courage, one would expect that Kashim would be the last person to contemplate using the word “KACHALLA” in political jabs, particularly when the original usage is traceable to Babachir, a known bigot and a disgraced public servant who was kicked out of office for corruption. However, Kashim’s obsequiousness to Bola seems to have overwhelmed him to the extent that he doesn’t mind throwing “KACHALLA” under the bus and scoring an own goal. Hence, it’s not surprising that Bola treats him as a politically inconsequential beneficiary rather than a formidable partner who makes enormous contributions to the joint ticket. That may explain why Bola chose him as running mate for 2023 election only after a placeholder, and for 2027 election only after 48 days of emerging as the presidential candidate of the APC. @ishakaa @uchediala @SamuelOmogor @ThatIsokoLawyer @SoprialaMembere @dawisu @abuuba22 @ShehunGwandu @Engr_Nadama @AhmadSanda_ @ModibboSanusi @IU_Wakilii @phrankangel

RENEWED HOPE INITIATIVE EXTENDS FOOD OUTREACH TO KATSINA
RENEWED HOPE INITIATIVE EXTENDS FOOD OUTREACH TO KATSINA, APPEALS TO GOVERNORS TO ESTABLISH COMMUNITY FOOD BANKS The First Lady of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON @SenRemiTinubu has called on state governors across the country to establish functional community food banks in their three senatorial districts to strengthen food security and tackle malnutrition among vulnerable populations. The First Lady made the call during the formal presentation of food items to the wife of Katsina State Governor Hajiya Zulaihat Dikko for onward distribution to vulnerable persons in the state under the Food Outreach Scheme of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI). Senator Oluremi Tinubu Represented by Wife of the Vice President Hajiya Nana Shettima @kujarima announced that Katsina State has become the 30th beneficiary of the scheme following successful distributions to 29 states and the FCT. Launched in March 2024 under the Social Investment Programme of the Renewed Hope Initiative, the Food Outreach Scheme provides nutritional support to persons with disabilities, widows and other vulnerable groups to ease their hardship and improve family well-being. The First Lady disclosed that the intervention is sustained through the generosity of two partners who provide two truckloads of food items monthly enabling the Initiative to support two states every month. As part of efforts to address food insecurity and malnutrition, the First Lady also announced the successful completion of the nationwide rollout of the National Community Food Bank Programme designed to combat child malnutrition and support pregnant women and lactating mothers. The First Lady urged state governors to adopt the framework and establish functional community food banks across their senatorial districts stressing that federal and zonal interventions alone would not be sufficient to address the scale of the challenge. According to her, stronger collaboration between federal and state governments would help extend nutritional support to more communities and ensure that vulnerable Nigerians have access to essential food supplies. The Governor of Katsina State, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda CON described the event as a day of Hope and Renewed commitment to the welfare of the people noting the intervention demonstrates the Federal Government’s resolve to reach vulnerable Nigerians at all levels. He said the initiative was a practical intervention with tangible impact complementing the efforts of the Katsina State Government to improve the well-being of its citizens. The Governor noted that his administration in alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is working towards building a future where every Nigerian could live with dignity through investments in Education, Healthcare and Agriculture. He added that the state government has made concerted efforts to improve security across communities by supporting security agencies with the necessary equipment to strengthen their operations. Governor Radda further stated that the Renewed Hope Agenda is designed to empower Nigerians to achieve their aspirations, urging the people of Katsina State to support the ruling party in the next election to sustain continuity in governance and development. Hajiya Zulaihat the Wife of the Katsina State Governor expressed appreciation to Senator Oluremi for the gesture stating that the Renewed Hope Initiative has continued to play an important role in promoting the welfare of Nigerians particularly women, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups through its various social intervention programmes. Osun , Ogun and Akwa Ibom States are expected to be next beneficiaries of the food distribution Scheme The food items were formally handed over to the Wife of the Katsina State Governor by Hajiya Nana Shettima for distribution to the intended beneficiaries.
