“Instead of delivering a gracious victory speech and working to unite the district, Anthony Constantino launched into a profanity laced tirade, had a reporter removed and stood by as his friend tried to lead the crowd in profane chants against the media. Constantino then spent the early morning hours sending vile text messages to Republicans and elected officials, including me, around 3:15 a.m. I will not be intimidated into resigning because he demands it on X. My fellow chairs and I work tirelessly for our committees and candidates, and we will continue that work. Leadership requires building bridges, Constantino continues to burn them. He bears responsibility for turning a heavily Republican district, with nearly a 100,000 voter Republican enrollment advantage, into a race he barely led by two- percentage points, despite spending $17 million.” Here is a screenshot of what unhinged congressman elect Constantino sent to me in the early morning hours after election night. This is not leadership….
Anthony Constantino crashed out on Twitter and in his text messages to local Republicans last night as he had the worst margins for a Republican in #NY21 in 12 years. A battle between the presumptive Congressman and his local party leaders is brewing. nny360.com/news/ny21-margins…

That’s when @constantino turned up the heat, and revealed the real theme of his remarks: Attacking the press, and calling out individual reporters from the stage. I was the first. “Sometimes the evil media, particularly Kate Lisa, they call (Stone) an ‘asshole,’” Constantino said, referring to a story I wrote last week about Stone encouraging him to exude more kindness to woo voters. “He’s probably the nicest person I met in politics, and I got to be honest with you, I think Kate Lisa is an asshole,” Constantino continued less than 3 minutes into his celebratory remarks. “She is. You shouldn’t call people assholes, Kate. It makes you an asshole.” cityandstateny.com/politics/…

AC is not telling the truth about his decision to remove a reporter from his election night party. I watched Garrett stay neutral as AC attacked him and as a party-goer got in Garrett’s face aggressively. Anthony wanted to look tough, and picked on the first reporter he saw.

From my point of view, Domblewski handled this difficult (and utterly insane) moment as gracefully as could be expected.

More fun: around halfway through his speech, Constantino pointed out WWNY assistant news director Garrett Domblewski for a bunch of direct but vague attacks about “being an asshole.” Failing to get a reaction, Constantino then sicced security on Domblewski and had him removed.

Drama at the Constantino party; after calling him an asshole, Constantino has the reporter here for WWNY, Channel 7 removed.

Some early results in #NY21 that are good for Democrat Blake Gendebien: ++ He leads overall in numbers that include lots of early voting ++ With all precincts reporting, Gendebien has beat Republican Anthony Constantino in Herkimer and Washington counties timesunion.com/projects/2026…

Interesting place for a midterm rally. In this media market: NY-22 (D incumbent, not very competitive), NY-24 (R held, not competitive), NY-19 (D held, not very competitive).

This is Cereese Qusba, the hero investigative journalist for the Cornell Daily Sun who doggedly pursued the story about the Cornell 7 for two years, blowing the lid off what had happened when her article was finally published on the 19th.. With so many dark posts about such a horrific incident, Ms. Qusba’s work shows the importance of journalism in accountability. She is the best of Cornell.

Senator Collins’ office says we “took the word of someone who pled guilty,” but ProPublica conducted its own investigation of the former CEO’s assertions. We have the receipts. Our reporters independently corroborated much of the account by former Navatek CEO Martin Kao by reviewing a trove of evidence, legal records and interviewing dozens of people. And we reported that anti-corruption agents at the FBI were asking questions about Susan Collins as recently as late 2024. But after the reelection of President Trump, the FBI and DOJ teams handling public corruption probes were dismantled. Here is the full story: propublica.org/article/fbi-s…
The seven-year-old allegations made against Senator Collins and her staff in this piece are categorically false. There have never been any allegations of wrongdoing by the Collins for Senator campaign, and the campaign was never the target of the FBI investigation. ProPublica took the word of someone who pled guilty to five counts of money laundering, three counts of wire fraud, one count of bank fraud, and making false submissions to the FEC. As Martin Kao was awaiting sentencing, he began making outlandish charges about the Collins office, deflecting blame from himself and placing it on Senator Collins, including alleging that our office required contributions before taking meetings and engaged in extortion, pay for play, and bribery. The FBI and the Court obviously did not believe Kao, and in 2025 he was sentenced in two separate cases to prison terms of seven years and three years to be served concurrently, as well as an additional five years of supervised release at the end of his prison term. It is important to note that during the Biden Administration the FBI and the Department of Justice thoroughly investigated the Navatek matter. The Collins campaign cooperated fully with the FBI throughout the investigation, producing all of the documents it requested and serving as fact witnesses in official settings. In response to the allegations in the ProPublica piece, the FBI clearly stated that a suggestion of wrongdoing by Senator Collins or her staff is “totally false.” These issues were resolved in 2021, and the FBI has not contacted us about Martin Kao since then.

Progressives in Delaware won 6/8 of their targeted races, fitting end to primary season. (They were helped by base anger at a business friendly incorporation law written to stop other CEOs from following Elon out of the state.) semafor.com/article/03/05/20…

The Clippers continuing to call Pulitzer prize winning reporting "podcast allegations" as a way to diminish its veracity is beyond embarrassing. But real reporting is believing the bull---- they were peddling?
The Clippers say this letter has been sent to Adam Silver. “This investigation has been flawed from the outset. And your decision to issue this report without any notice to the Clippers or their counsel is inexcusable.”
