Detransitioners aren't the problem. They're the evidence.
When they speak up, they get told "nobody forced you." But adults pushed this into classrooms as early as kindergarten, built an "affirm only, no questions" system with no real gatekeeping, and called any caution hate.
Kids can't consent to lifelong medical decisions. Protecting them, and protecting girls' spaces and sports, isn't bigotry. It's the bare minimum any responsible adult should demand.
Listen to the people who were harmed instead of mocking them.

11 trans individuals. 11 men who believe in unicorns and have imaginary friends and believe my identity isn’t a feeling they can have. 11 men who want to wear woman as a skin or women who hate their own womanhood so much that they pretend they’re not one at all.
And I am expected to cheer and dance with joy? If trans women are women, then there’s nothing to celebrate because women have been winning seats for a while now, no? If trans women aren’t women, why are they counted as our win? Because it definitely isn’t my win. You know who pays the heaviest price for this dark and evil alliance between the TQ and the progressives in the West? It’s still women in the Muslim world who are oppressed and dehumanized while stuck under Islam in Muslim communities and countries, and then dehumanized and told we are not really women unless we accept the misogynistic concept of a trans woman in the west! Because the West has gone so far to deny our womanhood that they now pretend we are just a feeling men can have or skin they can wear. I survived one to now have to deal with it again here in the west while also fighting this clownery. There’s no values left in the liberal left. It’s all misogyny and homophobia and pedophilia and antisemitism and pure unadulterated hate. What a waste.

If men who claim to be women are women, isn’t it just that another woman has been elected? To frame it as the election of a “trans” is to confirm they are something other than women. Which is our entire point. They’re men.
