Ricky Stenhouse Jr. admitted on pit road that he never saw Kyle Larson coming. He was focused on the 24 and by the time he realized the 5 was coming, it was too late to try and hold him off.
"They kept running into each other, and I felt like if they could keep running into each other we were gonna be OK. I just never would've dreamed the 5 would've had that big of a run."
Stenhouse lauded his team's strategy as well as the extra work they did addressing the transaxle issue that they found in their car after qualifying.
.@KyleLarsonRacin took his hand off the steering wheel on the backstretch thinking that his shot at the win was gone.
He leaves Talladega with a big leads in the chase standings with two more races to go.

Lotta folks on here talking about Kyle Larson during this red flag - his car has been able to go anywhere and find speed today. One of the only ones in the field.
It's been a really, really impressive day for the 5 team at a track that's never been real good to them.
