New Brunswick deserves better! Premier Higgs has become a bottleneck, stifling municipal leaders and hindering effective planning for the future. Centralized decisions, silenced cabinets, and announcements are celebrated as achievements.
Citizens deserve better outcomes, a safe and affordable place to live, a lower cost of living and access to healthcare. Not a leader who says NO to everything and everyone.
He wants more control, slow progress, and underinvesting in our future. Municipal leaders need respect, meaningful engagement, and resources, only more downloading with support. Most feel stuck, unable to speak out due to repercussions.
New Brunswickers seek help, not blame.
We need a leader who prioritizes collaboration, transparency, and direct funding for municipalities in the housing crisis. #LeadershipChangeNB #RespectLocalLeaders #HousingCrisisSolutions
Several Premiers and I agree: Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government’s jurisdictional creep – bypassing provinces to send money directly to municipalities – is an unfair pressure tactic and often creates duplicate processes.
Federal, provincial, and municipal governments need collaboration on housing and other files so that we can work together to solve issues.
We are basically asking for the same consideration that Quebec has to deal directly with the Federal government on provincial funding initiatives.

#RCMPNB continues to receive reports of a phone scam circulating in the Province. Scammers are calling with a false emergency – pretending to be a loved one in distress or as a police officer who has arrested a loved one.

Last year, Canada lost 30 billion to tax avoidance.
You paid your taxes.
But, billionaires like the Irvings didn't.
The Liberals and Conservatives have rigged the system against you.
Close tax loopholes for the rich and show Canadians respect.

Broken. Premier Higgs promised comprehensive tax reform in writing and what we've gotten is bandaids, no transparency, and big corporations prioritized. Trickle-down hasn't worked. Call your MLA's and demand real change.
SJ Regional Hospital had a higher tax increase than the Port, LNG, IOL HQ, JDI Wallboard, IOL blending and packing , 300 Union, Brunswick Square, Brunswick House, Ocean Steel, West side Rail Yard, Cooke HQ, Pulp Mill, and the Refinery combined.
@Gov_NB something is broken.

If not by @premierbhiggs, then #SNB minister @MaryEWilson19 should address this immediately.
In their absence, the Opposition, @susanholt @RobMcKeeMLA and @DavidCCoon must ask revealing questions.
Or I'm sure @cbcjones would love to dig in to something like this...

These are PUBLIC DOCUMENTS.
The public MUST have access to them.
To have trust in our tax system, it must be well-understood. It must face public scrutiny.
At present, we can't even get the information to start understanding it.
@Gov_NB owes the public an explanation.
