The Colts should only move Taylor if it's for a 1st round pick at this point.
Schefter: Colts ownership doesn't want to trade Jonathan Taylor.

Based on what I can find, Quenton Nelson received the largest trade compensation for any veteran Guard who was on their 2nd+ contract in the history of the NFL. The next closest would likely be Logan Mankins for a 4th round pick + TE Tim Wright.

I criticized the Colts for the worst trade of 2025, giving up two firsts for Sauce Gardner. But getting a 3rd (and a 5th) for Nelson on an expiring contract -- they were going to lose him in two months regardless -- is good work by their front office.

While it's a sad move for the franchise, it's a necessary one. Incredible players like Nelson are wasted on bad teams and don't offer too much value in a rebuild. Colts need to find new stars first and paying Nelson top dollar to come back just doesn't make much sense.
Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency. But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.

Of all the major free agents the Colts are set to have this offseason, it might be Adebawore who is the most important of them all.
This is legitimately one of the most insane plays I've seen from a 2i defensive tackle in run defense. Adetomiwa Adebawore's play speed and effort are unreal. Indy can't let this guy leave this offseason

Where’s the check down or safety valve option here? Especially against a pressure look on 1st and 10.
just a brutal pick by daniel jones to end the colts chances

Colts better do this guy a solid and ship him off to a winner.
DeForest Buckner on his current level of frustration, via @RomeovilleKid: "I don’t know. How about you guess. Yeah, I’m frustrated. Same thing, we lost."

If Indy isn’t going to go to Richardson or Leonard, then they’ll need to trade for someone (like the Giants did with McCarthy) because Jones is unplayable. #Colts
Unbelievable. Shane Steichen says he has not considered a QB change because he believes in Daniel Jones. Why? #Colts #ForTheShoe #Vikings #INDvsMIN

Pressure and and double up the slots is absolutely devious by Brian Flores. Jones, with a weak arm, is only forced to throw to the wide outs in man to man. #Colts

There's no excuse for Jones trying to fit the ball between those two defenders. Awful decision, awful throw, another awful game. #Colts

Adebawore has been the Colts' best player in the front 7 all day. He's an animal.

Shrader picked a hell of a day to have a bad performance. #Colts

Colts secondary is already thin and getting thinner. Defense holding the Vikings as long as possible. The offense needs to do something if they expect to win.

When Jones hits his first read, they move the ball. When he doesn’t, he makes a bad throw or takes a sack. Steichen needs to win by dinking and dunking and pounding the rock. No long developing plays. #Colts
From ESPN Research: Vikings blitzed Daniel Jones on 86% of his dropbacks in the 1st half (12 of 14). That would be the highest blitz rate in the NFL this season. The Vikings entered the day blitzing 68% of the time (next closest: Washington at 44%)

Cam Taylor Britt having a great game so far today. Great tackle on Murray there to force a punt. #Colts

The blocking up front is absolutely ridiculous. Taylor is whiffing... Travis too. That's back to back plays they let two guys get an immediate sack. #Colts

Another red-zone drive that does not end in the endzone, but at least the Colts are up at the half. Defense really holding their own.
