Foundation models predict cancer survival from a face photo and 130 diseases from one night of sleep study data. Superhuman medical capabilities. We have over 4M full-length endoscopy videos. What could a video model predict from them? Any labs want to find out with us?

Vector image models is a new thing. Interesting, vector image are not used enough, they have very interesting features. But tools are complicated. AI can definitely help!
Today, we’re introducing Ideogram's first vector model. Generate clean, editable SVGs with smooth gradients and sharp typography from a text prompt, or turn any image into a detailed, scalable vector. Live in Ideogram and the API: ideogram.ai/models/vector

Today, we announce 𝙻𝚒𝚚𝚞𝚒𝚍 𝚁𝙸𝙿𝙻 (real-time inference pipeline), our ultra low-latency inference engine built to put LFMs directly in the request path of real-time workloads like search, ads, fraud, recommendations, and payments. > complete generated responses end-to-end in sub 50ms > maintains low latency under continuous peak load > LFMs get up to 20x faster on RIPL > RIPL supports Multimodal LFMs > RIPL supports d1, our decision models too! RIPL optimizes the full path from request arrival to a complete generated response. As traffic rises, its performance advantage is greatest on the slowest requests. Let’s see some production use cases:

The crash in the game business nowadays is the first for the new generation of gamers, but only one of several in the history of games. Here are my thoughts from 2000 when a maker of beloved but long-unprofitable games went under.

All these game devs giving shit to Unreal for leaning into AI seem to be oblivious of what's going on.

Most non gamedev people take a graphic engine for a game engine. They have no clue what it means to make a game.
all of the posts I've seen where LLMs "code the engine" are really just a WebGPU renderer this is half of one platform (you need WebGL too), there are at least 10 more also there is no physics, netcode, asset streaming, animation system, scene system, the list goes on 🧵

I think the last month might have been the biggest month in (zeroth-order) optimization history. In the 10 days since we released the Noise speedrun, the time to pretrain a transformer went from 1.76 hours to 1.6 seconds, a 4,000x (!!!) speedup. Dust itself was up to 10,000x more compute-efficient than the previous state-of-the-art. Not only can we pretrain a transformer without backprop, it's much more efficient than anyone would've expected. Search fking works! Now, scaling is the biggest open question. Some of the tricks that brought the time down to 1.6 seconds will simply not scale. To discard those, we'll be scaling the dataset every time it gets overfit, starting with 30M tokens instead of 10M. Huge thanks to @jayden_teoh_, @spicey_lemonade, @RobertTLange, @EmanueleRodola, @ChunyuanDeng, @LuochengHuman, @Alaxarr, @pavleculafic, @IsaacYong13, Euraba and areu01or00 (GitHub), for the contributions. And @cs_serdar for gracefully maintaining the speedrun and @bishmdl76 for helping out. Expect a lot more from us over the coming weeks.

Anthropic
@AnthropicAI20h
New on our Frontier Red Team blog: using Claude to formally verify software at large scale. Formal verification can prove that code is free of certain bugs, but historically it has only been feasible for small codebases (or required a lot of expert time). With AI models, however, this is beginning to change. In collaboration with @theoremlabs, we used Claude to prove security properties in over one hundred real-world open-source libraries over the span of a few weeks. What? How serious is this man ? ( Actually I know the answer)
Thank you, @sundarpichai, for refusing to rename the Atlantic Ocean on @googlemaps; it’s already salty enough without adding Trump. #TrumpIsLostAtSea

Great to see CritPt v2 out! Happy to have helped refine a few challenges of this hard physics benchmark. Fun fact: I found these issues with my physics-intern framework…but not the autonomous version (which had to silently assume every question was well posed.) It’s the "human-in-the-loop" version of physics-intern that made the difference: working side by side with the agents, I sometimes uncovered subtle ambiguities in the questions. That led to a few patches, now part of v2. Thanks to the team for the careful review! 🙏
After 4 months of careful expert review, we release CritPt v2. GPT-6 Astra leads the way with 83.1% accuracy (average of 5). We made changes to 47 challenges in total, which breaks down to: - 5 corrections to mistakes in the problem statement (e.g., wrong number, self-contradictory constraints) - 19 revisions to address underspecification (e.g., missing conventions/constraints that gives ambiguity to final answers) - 16 grader fixes (e.g., grader unstable, error tolerant range too tight) without revision to the problem statement - 7 refinements even though no issues were found (e.g., rephrased to be less searchable, worded more rigorously) We also fixed some minor typos (spelling, grammar) which are unlikely to affect model performance. Here’s how we found the issues: - David Louapre @dlouapre from HuggingFace reported 10 issues across 8 challenges in June 2026. We accepted 8 issues and revised 8 challenges accordingly. We also thank David’s helpful revision suggestions. - Anthropic sent a list of ~65 issues across 31 challenges in Aug 2026. Upon careful review of the full list, we accepted ~28 issues and revised 19 challenges accordingly (two overlapping with David’s list). - We conducted an internal expert review of all problems, including newly revised ones, involving cross checking full responses of GPT-6 Astra (max) with CritPt experts. We ended up fixing/refining 20 additional problems. From 28.9% in Nov 2025 (GPT-5 high, coding tool) to 83.1% now (GPT-6 Astra max, coding tool), the progress AI has made on well-posed physics problems is remarkable in a year. CritPt consists of entry-level research problems for junior researchers: the kinds of warm-up exercises a hands-on advisor might pose for a fresh grad student, but still demand solid physics training and nontrivial physical reasoning. In this sense, frontier models are crossing a “critical point”, but there’s a lot more beyond this transitioning point in real scientific discovery. Asking a good question can be much harder than solving one. A good question can be fundamentally ambiguous and constantly changing as we explore. And ultimately, decisive tests of physics require experiments. There is so much more to explore. We sincerely thank our evaluation partner @ArtificialAnlys, who will co-host the leaderboard of CritPt v2 soon! Interesting feature!
New blogpost: Fable-5.1 can hide secret messages in benign images. We gave the image to another Fable in a fresh session and simply asked: "Is there a hidden message in this image?" It recovered the exact message without being told how it was hidden.

Really excited to have finally shipped this massive release, take a look at the video to see the amazing new features! And of course download and play with it for free at luckyrobots.com - super excited for what comes next! 🚀🤖
🚀 We’re thrilled to announce the release of Lucky Engine 2026.3! "The Matrix for Robots" is now 100% Agentic 🤖✨ To train autonomy, you need a "Matrix" a virtual playground where they can learn before touching the physical world. Today, we are dropping Lucky Engine 2026.3, and we think that it redefines how synthetic environments are built. • Real-time ray tracing & path tracing • 100% agentic (AI agents fully control the engine) • Upload a photo → instant data generation for your policies • Graph-based procedural generation, AI generated determinism • No Blender required. Here’s what’s inside 🧵 👇

THE SWITCH 2 HAS BEEN JAILBROKEN BY AI 🚨 pepsipu just released ns2jb, the first known jailbreak for the Switch 2. It's software-only and works on the latest firmware, 23.0.1. The craziest part is that Codex did most of the hacking. He hooked both Switches up so the AI could send controller inputs, watch the screen, and even press the power button with an Amazon smart light switch whenever the console crashed. His prompt was literally "set a goal to jailbreak the switch 2. make no mistakes". The way in was a bug in SmileBASIC, a Switch 1 game, which it then chained into Nintendo's own file system service.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The developer clarified the quoted prompt was a "silly caption" not actually used, and the jailbreak required substantial human effort over ~2 weeks (AI assisted with some bug-finding and the demo mod). pepsipu.com/blog/2026-10-s… gitlab.com/pepsipu/ns2jb gbatemp.net/news/switch-2-…

Turning Mercury into gold... A first step for new medicine... This new world is unbelievable!
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10. Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years. Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.

What? The gravity was 75% lower at dinosaur time?
This is quite interesting: Two independent estimates of the evolution of Earth's gravity over the past 220 My produce very similar results. One method is based on the measured body volume and estimated weight of extinct animals (mostly dinosaurs), while the other method uses a reconstruction of Earth's past diameter from a NOAA map of oceanic lithosphere ages done by Maxlow (2012). The first method uses the circumference of femur and humerus weight-bearing bones of extinct animals to estimate their weight when they were alive. The ratio of that weight to the animals' body mass (assuming an average tissue density of 0.99 tones m-3) gives an estimate of the relative gravity in the past. The second method assumes that Earth has been expanding according to Maxlow's Expansion Tectonics. These results indicate that during the Mesozoic Era (the era of dinosaurs), from 252 My ago to 66 My ago, Earth's gravity was less than 75% of today's value. This can help explain the enormous sizes of some sauropods.

Interesting idea. Had tokens to burn so I got Opus to put it to the test
Of course it can. Take all 100,000+ games on steam, scrape their descriptions and metadata, semantically plot them in vector space using embeddings, mathematically choose a location in vector space far away from neighbors, convert that back to a description and metadata, boom, brand new ideas ranked by how unlike any other ideas they are.

Spent a bunch of tokens over the last few weeks building a fully procedural New York simulation. mrdoob.github.io/slop-newyor… It's only 784KB gzipped and the code is on github, so you can do whatever you want with it ✌️
