Driver reaction to alcohol limits. Some familiar arguments here. We face decades of entitlement.

In an ideal world, everyone would follow the rules. But with limited resources, police rightly focus on major causes of harm; last year, 364 pedestrians were killed, almost all of them hit by motor vehicles. In comparison, more pedestrians are killed by cows than cyclists.

🐫 Forget speed bumps. 📸 Forget speed camera's. 🚫 Forget road signs. Car drivers fear nothing more than a scratch on their paint. And overestimate the size or their car (amongst other things). Crucial knowledge if you want to lower speeds. (🎞️ by David Ho)

Allowing this dead-company-walking to be bailed out again, instead of taking it into Special Administration and then permanent public ownership, would be a disgrace and a betrayal by the Andy Burnham government Enough is enough. Thank you @Feargal_Sharkey for standing up for a water system that delivers for us, not profiteers

An incredible speech. The Jewish leader of Lambeth council denounces Labour’s weaponisation of antisemitism. Conflating the evil of antisemitism with opposing Israel’s crimes has to stop
Martin Abram's speech to full council last night about his experiences as a Jewish man facing antisemitism, the dangers of turning antisemitism into a political football, and our drive to make Lambeth a borough of sanctuary and solidarity for all – no hatred used to divide us!

Thames Water is due to run out of money (again) over the next few weeks. A year and a half ago it was given a £3 billion bailout now it's asking for another £2.4 billion. We really are being taken for mugs. theguardian.com/business/202…

Let me get this right - in the last week we’ve seen cars washed away in Chile, Istanbul, Turkey and now São Paulo, Brazil. And no media is joining the dots @bbcnews @itvnews @skynews @thetimes @bbc5live @lbc @DailyMail This isn’t even the new normal. It’s going to get much much worse. #climatecrisis #climatebreakdown

Streeting: "I have seen first hand.. the impact of Russias aggression in terms of the childrens toys lying in the rubble of the flats that had been destroyed, bombed out shopping centres.." Now do Gaza, Wes. And the difference, of course, is that you've helped Israel do it.

The ICJ made this ruling over 2 years ago. However, unfortunately it’s only an advisory opinion from the principal judicial organ of the UN, and even though it carries significant international weight, is not a binding judgment.
