Can’t get my head around that. One of the worst defeats in our history. Really showed up our attacking problems. Hate losing at the best of times but this is really hard to take.

We have an awful attack. Same against Premier League or League 2. Sub standard players missing and missing. It's a joke if we think this is sustainable throughout a season. Tonight is an embarrassment. And Arteta chewing Max out. Was just not needed. He's 16. #Arsenal – at Elche, Spain

Time for Dowman now. He should get mins if Saka is out for weeks. He is ready and capable

I agree He isn't able to sign his professional contract until December. Our use of him is so poor considering the hype around him and our lack if goals abd creativity Wilshere, Cesc were both starting at 16. Llamine was a superstar at 16 Need to be careful we don't lose him – at Elche, Spain
🎙️ Carlton Cole on Max Dowman’s chances at Arsenal: 🗣️ ‘You have Max Dowman and as they, if you’re good enough you are old enough. He’s probably looking at people on the bench, thinking ‘How am I not getting on and playing’ because he can glide past players. ‘That No10 role is even his position as well, so he comes on the right but I think he’s better in the middle. ‘But Saka gets grace all the time and I think it’s unfair on the other players because every other player gets called off by the gaffer.’ #afc

Dowman must look at our attack and say “I can do better than most of these guys.”

Not retaining the league in any way shape or form. Abysmal #Arsenal Brighton may pull a Leicester. Way way better than us. – at Elche, Spain

Is Max really that good? Because Llamine played at his age and never looked back. Barca knew they had a game changer. I thought Max was ours. Our attack is shocking and we have supposedly a generational talent twiddling his thumbs. Jack Wilshere and Cesc played #Arsenal – at Elche, Spain

Eze can have no complaints but he was no worse than any of the others. Would like to see Arteta allow Dowman a good 30 mins in a PL game. FR too talented to just get 5 mins here and there.

Same problem every game. Our attack just isn’t at the same level as our midfield and defence. Gonna be a problem all season. Summer was a disaster in regards to strengthening in attack.

Absolute dross from the Champions of England. When yu look at the freedom, joy, speed and urgency Brighton play. It's hard to fathom we are defending Champions. Can't see us retaining the league. It's like this every game. What are we even doing. #Arsenal – at Elche, Spain

The Man City £900m figure is the tip of the iceberg. The real figure is going to be close to £2 billion when 2018-present day is investigated. And the Premier League still allow them to play games, why? Kick them out of the league and strip every title

Five games, five wins, top of the league. Manchester City, a fortnight after an independent commission found they systematically broke the Premier League's financial rules for nine straight seasons. So what exactly are we all watching? Not asking for the season to be scrapped. That's daft, and it punishes nineteen clubs who've done nowt wrong. But I'd like somebody at the Premier League to explain why the table at the top of every sports page is one they already know is wrong. Because here's where we actually are. The commission has ruled. City lodged their appeal on October 1st. No sanction has been announced. Nobody knows when it will be. Sky are reporting that Premier League clubs themselves don't expect City to even BE in this league next season if the appeal fails. And in the meantime, the league just carries on. Points are awarded. Positions are published. Clubs are planning January windows around a table that might be fiction. Think about who that actually hurts. Not City, they're fine, they're top. It's the club that goes down in May by two points and later finds out the table was never real. It's the club that sacks a manager in February over a league position that gets rewritten. It's the staff at a relegated club losing their jobs over a season nobody can stand behind. Real money, real people, decided by a table the league itself can't vouch for. And the bit that genuinely sticks in the throat. Everton got docked ten points, mid season, reduced to six. Forest got four. Both for single PSR breaches. Both punished DURING the season it mattered, so the table stayed honest. Eighty charges over nine seasons, plus thirty five for refusing to cooperate with the investigation into it, and somehow that one has to wait. Carragher's right. Do it this season. Whatever it is, apply it now, to this table, the way it was applied to Everton and Forest. Because every week this drags on, the Premier League is asking us to treat a standings table as real while quietly knowing it might not be. Due process matters and the appeal has to be heard, I'm not arguing with that. But there's a difference between due process and letting a club sit top of a competition for an entire season while the punishment for breaking that competition's rules sits in a drawer. The league's credibility isn't damaged by what City did ten years ago. It's damaged by what the league is choosing to do about it now. Nine seasons. Then three years of charges. Then a verdict. And still, somehow, nothing. Who's season is this, exactly? 🖤🖤 #PremierLeague #MCFC

🚨 In the space of just one month, we’ve seen an offside goal allowed to stand against Manchester United, a controversial handball decision involving Elliot Anderson against Sunderland, Gravenberch sent off for two soft yellow cards against Liverpool, and Manchester City facing allegations of industrial-scale financial breaches. At some point, you have to ask serious questions about the integrity of this league. Too many controversial decisions, too many unanswered questions, and far too much drama for a competition that prides itself on being the best in the world. Honestly, the Premier League is becoming increasingly difficult to take seriously. What exactly is going on? 🤦‍♂️
