The Jedi Council was always right about Anakin. Anakin was arrogant, quick to temper and too emotional to control his own power. He became evil because he allowed himself to become evil.
I don't understand why Liberals can't comprehend the fact that Anakin Skywalker doesn't become evil because he likes evil.
He becomes evil because he hates corruption, inefficiency, useless diplomatic nonsense, and the Jedi council's unwillingness to act in the face of numerous major conflicts that could've been solved with an appropriate use of force.
He could've grown and taken over the Jedi council, and changed their ways for the better. But the system did not benefit him and tried on multiple occasions to suppress his climb up the ladder.
He crosses the line because the system that is meant to give him a chance would not grant him any opportunity.
Anakin could point out flaws in the system, but was politically illiterate. His prescription was benevolent dictatorship, a child's understanding of government. He let himself be tricked by a Sith. He killed children. He killed his wife. Hurt and almost killed his children.
