Truth bomb time 💣
Self-employment has not been easy for me.
November last year I was let go from my dream job. It was a tough pill to swallow.
By chance, a great company reached out to me for a VP Product role in the same week I got laid off.
But something felt off.. 🧵

Screw it, I made it open source..
This is Notchy -_-
He stops you getting distracted when using Claude code by replacing your Macbooks notch with a terminal
He lets you know when claude needs your attention
And plays a sound when tasks are complete
Best of all: he stops your macbook going to sleep while claude is working
I built this for me, maybe you will find it useful too?
As a swift developer Notchy has some custom functionality I built:
- When a new XCode project is open he launches a new tab
- If claude.md is detected he launches straight into claude code
- Command + S saves a quick snapshot of code and I can restore from that checkpoint any time
Enjoy :)

I kept getting distracting while vibe coding… so I made a notch for Claude Code
It updates the status, pings you when you need to answer a question and notifies you when the task is done
When it detects claude is working it also prevents my macbook from going to sleep
I can walk away from my macbook. Or watching a youtube video. And I'll get an alert when it's done.

2.2+ ROAS ads are starting to look exactly like this
not ugc creators, not influencers, and not doctors explaining things on camera
just simple animated visuals that clearly show a problem and hint at the solution
clean character design, strong curiosity hook, and a message anyone can understand instantly
it feels easy to watch and doesn’t trigger that “this is an ad” reaction
and that’s exactly why it converts so well
no friction, no overthinking, just a visual that makes the problem obvious in seconds
these animations are now being used across almost every niche
weight loss, gut health, skincare, supplements, and more
same visual style, different product behind it, and endless variations to test
one concept can be turned into dozens of ads and scaled quickly
rt + comment “animated” and I’ll send the setup

I hit $10K MRR in under 30 days.
70%+ margins.
No paid ads. No VC money. No audience.
Most founders try influencer marketing and quit.
The deals are unprofitable or impossible to scale.
Here's what actually works:
↓
$30-50 per post.
3-5 creators to start.
One simple funnel.
That's it.
I documented every step in a free PDF.
Like + Repost + Comment 'MRR' and I'll send it over.
Make sure to follow so I can DM you.

We gave our new strategy to a tiny channel (1.3k subs)
Their video went viral.
- 350k views in a tiny niche.
- 280x their average view count
- Then repeated it multiple times
So f**k it…. Here’s the strategy he used:

His YT channel is a gold mine for founders in discovery / validation stage.
There is one thing standing between your business idea and the right customer...
One thing you have to do the right way if you don’t want all your hard work to go to waste.
A killer ad testing campaign.
If you know how to do it right:
- You move fast.
- You learn a lot.
- You iterate.
The problem is, this is (or was) not an easy campaign to execute.
I've done it again and again, failed and succeeded numerous times.
I refined the strategy.
I made it scientific.
(Good for me 😅)
What's in it for you?
I spent the past week putting together a prompt stacking process that anyone can use to:
- Create a complete campaign for any product.
- Generate all the marketing material.
- Generate mid-journey prompts.
- Design the ads on Figma.
- Set up the campaign directly in the ads manager.
All you need to start is a brief description of your business idea or your product.
Time to complete the whole process: 1 hour.
It sounds crazy, I know, but it really works :)
I recorded the complete course and posted it on YouTube, all for free.
Like and comment, and I'll send you the link.
(You guessed it, you can also go directly to my channel and watch the video, but a like and a comment would be really nice 🙂)
What's your #1 challenge around finding things from your unstructured data (emails, docs, pdfs, etc)?
When stuck on a decision, try the Options Framework.
This has been the most effective tool I used for a decade in Product Management at startups.
Works great solo and for getting to a group decision.
🧵
Step 3. Analyze and decide.
Usually the right decision will pop-out clearly. One option will have the most pros and least cons.
Simple yet so powerful.

Morning exercise is the best antidote to a bad night sleep.
I slept terribly last night.
Big storm rolled up at 1am.
Daughter woke up at 6am like always.
So I thought, how can I turn this around?
I hopped on a spinning bike for 27 min.
Felt so good after 🧑💻
This week I hopped on 10 calls with PMs.
I posted my calendly on Linkedin. I promised free advice to the problems they were struggling with.
- I learn their struggles (course material)
- They get free advice
- win-win
Note to self:
Get on calls w/ target audience more often.
It's crazy how many biz ideas start (and end) with
- Decide the perfect name
- URL search spree
- Buy domain
- Design Logo
- Find the perfect color palette
Decide it probably won't work without any customer validation.
Rinse and repeat.

If you tweak your offer well enough...
they might be more inclined to buy from you after having multiple touch points.
Some study said it takes 7 points of interaction before a sales is likely 🤯
And if they don't join this cohort, maybe next one?
