Honestly I’m getting really tired of people saying “you mean any survival horror game experience” when discussing the importance of survival horror in Resident Evil. There’s a difference between a genre and a franchise's specific DNA. Yes, many games use survival horror elements that are similar to RE, however Resident Evil coined the term and built the exact formula: resource management, atmospheric puzzles, and isolated tension. Any type of Resident Evil media whether it be a game or movie that strips those away loses the exact identity that made the original games a masterpiece, Resident Evil 6 for example. Without resource management, tension, and atmospheric puzzle-solving… IT ISN’t Resident Evil. And if you’re someone who uses this argument… I’m sorry, but you don’t understand the franchise as much as you think you do. #ResidentEvilㅤ #REBHFun

Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil may not have pulled much from the world itself, but there’s no denying the formula, spirit, and tone of the games is there. If you have played a Resident Evil game you can see the formula. However, that alone can’t carry an RE adaptation. WTRC suffered in a similar way. They had game characters on screen with the iconic locations but butchered the story. Cregger had the gameplay formula, but hardly nothing from the world itself. Now if we can get a RE film with both of those elements combined, we would have the best live action adaptation yet. #ResidentEvilㅤ #REBHFun

Zach Cregger has the best opportunity to course correct this new movie series. Make Umbrella more relevant, explain the virus, use BOWs from the games, and most importantly make it feel associated with the world of RE. #ResidentEvilㅤ #REBHFun

I love Zach Cregger but Resident Evil is as big as it’s ever been and fans want a film adaptation to be faithful to the games that they love. Remove two lines of dialogue and you would’ve never guessed that his movie had anything to do with Resident Evil. There have been now eight movies and one tv show that have either blatantly disrespected the source material or weren’t given the proper resources to actually succeed. Fans have every right to be frustrated at this point because adapting Resident Evil properly shouldn’t be this hard. Sorry but that’s just how it is 🤷
Zach Cregger says he was frustrated that the conversation surrounding his ‘RESIDENT EVIL’ film had nothing to do with the film. “It had to do with whether the movie was living up to the different standards that different fans of the games had… it was just a lot about ‘why isn’t this like the source material?’ OR ‘why is it good that it’s not like the source material?’ (Source: podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcas…)

IGN... That's not what Jun Takeuchi said... He said they had formed a 10-year plan for Resident Evil for the next decade, they had an on-going story in-between titles (both new games & remakes) which THAT STORY would be concluded in the next 10 years, not the whole series.
Resident Evil executive producer Jun Takeuchi has revealed that the series' narrative has a definite conclusion, and that end could come "in the next 10 years." bit.ly/3WAd457
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The IGN post mischaracterizes the quote: Takeuchi referred to concluding a specific 10-year branding plan and storyline arc (from the RE2 remake era) after Requiem as a milestone, not ending the series itself, and confirmed multiple new titles ahead. news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/c2306… x.com/gamenohanashi/… x.com/RENews_X/statu…

Brad Bird explains that each person's powers in ‘THE INCREDIBLES’ represents an average family unit. “Fathers are expected to be strong, so I made him super strong. Mothers are pulled in ten directions at once, so she stretches. Teenagers are insecure & defensive so she can turn invisible & has force fields. 10-year old boys are energy balls that just go until they pass out. Babies are unknowns, they could be the next leader of the free world or they could be a bag man, you don’t know.” (Source: @ThatHollywood)

I saw Clayface yesterday morning and it was perfect! Biggest compliment I can give it is how well the film stands on its own and doesn’t need references to Batman to carry the film. This is a one and done type of film in my opinion. Would a sequel be great? Yes! But does it really need it? No. If Clayface returns he should be a supporting role or a villain in a Batman film.
‘CLAYFACE’ director James Watkins on the possibility of a sequel: “I liked the standalone nature of it. I liked how it felt like it introduced a character. But I wasn’t trying to introduce the character to go, ‘OK, what next?’ I was trying to introduce the character as a full meal in itself.” (Via: variety.com/2026/film/news/c…)

Now that we know some zombies survived the missile strike, a question has come to mind. In "Wild Things", we could leave Oscar locked up and walk away without killing him. So, is it possible that a zombie elephant could still be wandering the streets of Raccoon City near the zoo?

This mod is cool I’ll admit… however it does take away from the core experience of Resident Evil 5. RE 5 took 4’s gameplay/controls and perfected it. Inventory management was better in 4, but it still took what RE 4 did and built on it. Being able to move and shoot defeats the tension in action sequences that made RE4/5’s gameplay great. So while this is cool, it ruins the experience of RE 5 in my opinion. But if this is how you want to experience and play RE 5 there’s nothing wrong with that. #ResidentEvilㅤ #REBHFun
Someone's gotta say it so I will. Gamers are salty seeing people mod this game to play the way they want to play it like it wasn't hot garbage before that. Lol

New report on the ‘Blade’ game 🎮 • Arkane has until Nov 13 to find a buyer, with several potential takeover options under consideration • Development on ‘Blade’ is ‘nearing the end’ of production • One rep says it ‘would be a monumental waste’ if the game never gets released

Puta que pariu!! Fizeram um mod pro RE5 onde a movimentação é livre igual nos RE atuais. Agora é possível andar e atirar, e se movimentar livremente em 360°. Muito foda! Vou rejogar com certeza!!

#Clayface I really dug this! The film is so well paced & immediately hooks you into Matt Hagen’s tragic story. DCU’s Gotham feels as grimy & alive as I could hope. The body horror is GNARLY . Coming from someone who HATES the solo villain movie trend I was pretty happy with this!

Just got out of Street Fighter! Now I’m very much a casual fan of the franchise. I’ve played the games, but don’t know much of the story. As a film, 7/10 for me. It’s probably the most video gamey movie in tone with the dialogue and cheese, however the fights were done pretty well and I loved the animation that was used in the film to tell the backstory. Kinda wish it was fully animated, but the time it was used was perfect. I had a lot of fun with this movie, but I’m unsure if hardcore fans will. Definitely makes me want to dive into the games again

Start saving now folks… if you can lol. It’s crazy to think just years ago in 2020 that consoles were $399-$499… now they are over $1,000. I want to move back to Xbox next generation, but I’m unsure with these prices.
Xbox is reportedly planning to release its next-generation console in Holiday 2028 🎮 • Microsoft has internally projected the console could cost between $1,200 and $1,800 • The company could decide to subsidize the cost (via @FortuneMagazine)
