Bylaws? How have you gone from admiring clean streets to advocating curfews and restricting freedom of movement. You people are so fascinated with Kigali's aesthetics that you're casually entertaining authoritarian measures. All because someone showed you a clean pavement? Smh 😂

What annoys me about South Africans romanticising Rwanda is how readily they overlook political repression, restrictions on dissent & Rwanda's involvement in the DRC conflict because Kigali has clean streets. Surely our standards for good governance should extend beyond this?

A friend of mine is on a work trip to Kigali, Rwanda and all I can say is we can learn a thing or two… spotless!!! A culture of pride in one’s environment and cleanliness is enforced. It reminds me of Singapore

A 42-year-old South African man, Vico DuToit, has been arrested in Oklahoma, USA, where he was living on a work visa. Authorities allege he uploaded and shared child sexual abuse material via Kik after a tip to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. He reportedly faces multiple charges, a $500,000 bond and an immigration detainer. A court hearing is reportedly scheduled for 4 November.
