Friends who have reached out to me requesting photos with which to celebrate my birthday have found it funny that I sent them desert photos. Some have gone behind me to retrieve flashy photos of me from the Internet; others have outright asked me to send fancy photos.
But these three desert photos of me are the core of my defining moment of the last year. I intend to keep them in public circulation as a memento of the many mountains and seas I’ve crossed in the line of duty.
PS: I apologise for all the calls and messages I haven’t answered. That’s because my photography exhibition, ‘Desserts from the Desert’, is ongoing at Alliance Française de Lagos, 9 Osborne Rd, Ikoyi.
Today and tomorrow are open to the general public. If you’re looking for me, that’s where you can catch me!😊
Arguing with a very wealthy, accomplished older gentleman whose children are also already accomplished while you are wasting away defending the administration that is making you waste away is an interesting part of the social media experience.

When a Gambian Housing development company began building an estate in Rivers state several years ago it found so big a scarcity of basic masonry, tiling and plumbing skills that it made a strategic decision to source skills from the Senegambia region. The firm moved 600 people from Senegal over land to Nigeria, The strategy paid off for Taj Africa Global. The education policy agenda of the NDC, Obi and Kwankwaso and the Big Tent look to overcome that skills gap which is a direct threat to the manufacturing we desire for job creation .

With how popular Netflix series glorifying serial killers is, and the constant gun violence from kids as young as 16 happening in certain countries, the last thing we need to see is fake outrage because someone fought in a club. As if THAT country is not always instigating wars.

The Phoenix herself 🐦🔥🐦🔥💎
Last night for Phoenix Fury Film premiere
What a feeling 🖤
Thank you God for this film, this life, this privilege to create, to celebrate creations and to be celebrated for creations.
Never taking it for granted.
She's an awesome film maker. So vivacious - full of life, and naturally funny. And she can sing too!
Watch #PhoenixFuryFilm when it hits the theatres.
Fun fact: She interviewed Burna Boy (sitting on plastic chairs lol) years before he became a superstar.
What is annoying me is that yes, Nicki's ass is phat. I like it. I also love her music. Too bad she's agreed to be used. It takes a lot to reject such proximity to power but it is disappointing nevertheless.
Music so beautiful you that you go on your knees with tears in your eyes.
The nostalgia...the memories...the lyrics. ❤️

“...Now money flows, the bills go high,
Your gas costs more? Well, so do I!
Can’t fill your tank? Then use your feet,
I’ve got a war to fund…how sweet!” 🎶
