Thank you to @sacbee_news for highlighting #AB1985, Sarah’s Law, which would require mental health training for coaches and trainers at colleges and universities across California. Together with #AB1626 and #AB1665 by @AsmPacheco & @AsmJesseGabriel, these bills would strengthen mental health training and expand requirements to K-12 coaches. We urge the Legislature to move all three bills forward and send them to the Governor’s desk for signature. Our student-athletes deserve coaches who are prepared to recognize and support their mental health. 💙 sacbee.com/news/politics-gov…

Rare sighting at the CA Capitol: A press conference with equal mix of Republicans and Democrats. The CA Problem Solvers Caucus is urging federal lawmakers to establish clear and fair routes for citizenship, a secure border, and provide due process to immigrants.

My bill to allow diacritical marks on vital documents passed out of Assembly Health 15-0! A state as diverse and populous as CA should be leading on this issue, not lagging behind states like Florida, Texas, Kansas, Oregon and many more. It’s time to pass #AB64. #CALeg
