WOW! This small woven basket is about 9,500 years old! 🤯 Looks like it was made yesterday rather than by hunter gatherers during the Mesolithic! From the Cueva de los Murciélagos (Cave of bats) near Granada, southern Spain. 📷 by me #Archaeology
My photo shows a small, shallow, conical-shaped basket viewed from above, woven from Esparto grass. It is displayed against a dark museum background. Two different colour twines, greyish-brown and a warmer tan brown, have been woven together to create a decorative geometric pattern, giving it a two-tone appearance. Height 4.6 cm, diameter 10.8 cm. This basket belongs to a famous basketry assemblage recovered from the Cueva de los Murciélagos (Cave of bats) near Granada, southern Spain. The assemblage is the earliest known basketry in southern Europe, made by hunter-gatherers some 9,500 years ago. Part of the collections of the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid. However, this basket is currently on loan to the State Prehistory Museum in Halle, Germany, for the temporary 'Shaman of Bad Dürrenberg' exhibition, which is where I photographed it.

Journalist Peter Brannen describes how the Industrial Revolution ignited a new metabolism upon the Earth, ongoing and potentially catastrophic. Annually, humans release CO2 into the atmosphere at a rate 100 times faster than Earth's volcanoes combined. buff.ly/2CIK24J

Reminder: UFO ≠ ET life. Astrophysicists, astrobiologists, and many other types of scientists have been researching the possibility of ET life (and intelligence) for decades. That’s partly why space agencies send spacecraft to other planets and astronomical surveys exist.

Thank you for talking about Long COVID. The best (although unfortunately not easy) way to avoid Long COVID is to avoid a COVID infection.

Covid constitutes the largest mass disabling event in the United States since the Americans with Disabilities Act became law in 1990. Now, the Trump administration’s anti-worker and anti-disability turn has created a climate of fear and difficulty around Long Covid accommodations. motherjones.com/politics/202…
Long Covid disabled millions of workers. Then came Trump 2.0.

This woman is reciting Donald Trump’s words on his new vaccine recommendations verbatim. This remains the clearest way to illustrate just how far gone he is mentally. This is terrifying.
