Our journey began with a simple but profound belief: every parent has the need to know and the right to know if their child can read at grade level.

A Fort Worth mom is frustrated that her daughter's dyslexia diagnosis slipped through the cracks at her FWISD school. Now, she's afraid her daughter has been left behind and may never catch up. In response to our story, FWISD stated, "We are committed to supporting all of our students, including those with dyslexia. However, due to federal and state privacy laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), we cannot discuss details of an individual student’s education plan or accommodations.”

Yes! when we catch needs early and teach reading clearly and intentionally, students are far more likely to succeed. Strong systems build confident readers and remind kids that reading is something they can do.

Did you know that Texas Charter Schools are public, free, and open to all? This year, public charter schools are celebrating 30 years in Texas - educating 1.5 million Texans!
In 1995, Senate Bill 1 created a new kind of public school — tuition-free, open to all, and empowered with freedom and flexibility. Since then, public charter schools have built brighter futures for 1.5 million students statewide. Join us as we celebrate 30 years of public charter schools in Texas! 🎉 #TXChartersTurn30 #TXChartersWork #txed

Last week, the Fort Worth Education Partnership hosted our 2nd Annual Fall Education Convening — a gathering of community leaders, educators, and partners united by one mission: ensuring every child in Fort Worth, regardless of zip code, has access to a high-quality public education. The main session centered on the latest academic data for Fort Worth and celebrated three Bright Spot campuses—Cesar Chavez Primary, IDEA Edgecliff College Preparatory, and Alice D. Contreras Elementary—for their innovative practices and measurable gains in student achievement. Afternoon breakout sessions dove deeper into two critical initiatives: Go Beyond Grades, which empowers families to better understand and use academic data, and Pipeline to Leadership, a strategic staffing approach designed to identify and develop strong school leaders from within. These conversations continue to reinforce that progress happens when data, collaboration, and community come together. Thank you to all who joined us in working toward a brighter future for Fort Worth students.
