Excellent article on Imaging approach & review of different Autoimmune encephalitis...🧠
It's about pattern recognition
Be careful about misdiagnosis & mimics..

Not all enhancement patterns in tumefactive demyelination are equal:
🔄 Open ring → highly specific for demyelination
🧶 Cotton-ball or punctate → consider ADEM or
MOGAD
🟠 Homogeneous or nodular → be cautious, can mimic tumors

Stroke is a major differential diagnosis in acute vertigo, dizziness, or imbalance, but current diagnostic algorithms are optimized for spontaneous nystagmus, not AIS. Recognition of both is essential in the emergency setting. Read more: hubs.la/Q04BFQKN0

I am excited to share my review article, “Amyloid Neuropathies,” published in @ContinuumAAN. My journey caring for patients with amyloid neuropathies began 14 years ago at the Brazilian Amyloidosis Referral Center at my alma mater, @ufrj. Since moving to @MayoClinic, I’ve continued my clinical work and research in amyloidosis, which has given me a unique perspective on patient care across two very different settings. I’ve aimed to simplify this complex topic, including many clinical pearls and a diagnostic flow chart highlighting key red flags.
I’m also proud to share that @LyellJ selected this article as one of the editor’s picks, making it freely available for the next three months. Don’t miss out—download it now! 😊

Lastly, I want to say it's such an honor to write for @ContinuumAAN, which was the most important neurology journal throughout my (long) neurology training journey. The opportunity to give back through this review was very meaningful to me.
I hope you all enjoy it!

ALT Graph showing estimates over time of the probability of a first flare of IgG4-related disease for which rescue therapy was required. The y-axis represents the probability of no flare, ranging from 0 to 1, and the x-axis shows time in months. The blue line indicates obexelimab while gray line indicates placebo. Notable statistics detail patients at risk, number of patients with flares, and median times. The hazard ratio is 0.44 with a p-value of <0.001.

Swollen Discs
Without sx of IIH - TVOs, diplopia,H/A, tinnitus- swollen discs have a bigger differential: Tilted disc in myopes, papillophlebitis, hyaline bodies , etc
If HB are Ca+ orbital CT can help, otherwise retina ophths can look for autofluorescense (no dye needed)
