ALT This is SO important. Closing auditions early means missing auditions from: -actors who've set aside time to prepare for it, or who may have been working on it, knowing they have time to get it right before the deadline. -actors who are busy working, so have scheduled when they can get something in -actors who have other life responsibilities/who have disabilities or illnesses. -actors in different time zones, if the deadline's really short. If you've bothered putting in all that time into writing, then it's worth waiting to hear all the auditions to find the most suitable person. If time is tight, then just set a clear, short deadline and then actors will bear that in mind.
