Here's what it sounds like when you live with a wealth of delusion about how easy it is for the average person to get an autism diagnosis,

By April 2023, the waiting time for an autism assessment in Australia was up to two years.

This is horrific. A hospital in the UK is deliberately ignoring NICE guidelines and allowing this woman to suffer. They're denying her everything she needs to survive. She's having seizures repeatedly. 😭 #SaveCarlasLife
CW: distressing We want you to meet Carla #SaveCarlasLife #ExposeMENow With family's permission we're sharing some videos of her experience in West Middlesex hospital. This first video is what happens when she is exposed to bright light. Staff won't cover the door window.

I understand why people say “gen z is gonna save us” but when the dam breaks about Covid denial gen z (and younger) are going to hold everyone else accountable, and y’all are frankly not ready for that salvation. They don’t have superpowers they were raised as sacrifices.

Covid policies and mitigation are a social justice issue. Low income & marginalized individuals are at much higher risk. Adele is a multi millionaire who recently began wearing a respirator & had plans to improve air quality at her venue. Now she’s cancelling multiple shows. 🧵/1

The good news is change is possible. We know filtering & ventilation can massively reduce transmission and respirators are very effective for high risk situations like hospitals. We can lobby for the 5 day isolation period to remain unchanged & free tests to be available. /15

So I'm in a 'burn it to the ground' mood. Here goes. Ethnically, I'm an English Romany, called by some 'Gypsy', (not a slur to many English Gypsies, they don't really care). Haven't disclosed this before because of the rabid hate that exists in the UK towards us... 1/

This is why vulnerable & disabled people are so unsafe. I often hear “just stay home when sick” in response to asking people to mask - but the vast majority of people don’t stay home. MANY workers are unable to stay home because they don’t have adequate sick leave. /9

We discussed how they were relieved they didn’t see me because they recognize the severity of their illness would be catastrophic for me - but they can’t extend that same courtesy to strangers. They can recognize the risk - but it’s not a concern if they don’t know the person. /8

No one is suggesting taking up 🚬!!! One week on a nicotine patch. Early papers from 2020 make the connection. Since then? 🦗🦗🦗 I wonder why 🤔

Something that gives me a lot of anxiety as an Autistic person is how fragile my circumstances feel. I’m acutely aware that one awkward social situation, misunderstanding, period of burnout, meltdown, processing delay, innocent error or misjudgement could cost me so much.

Oh no! A triple threat! What are the three things you'll do to me if I don't buy? 😳 😄

Pls show some evidence that masks work? Wasn’t there a Cochrane review on this…😎

The problem with being single and not wanting to date is that people think they're entitled to an explanation. So for convenience, you end up being tempted to lie, just to get them off your back. But that also means living inauthentically.

For several years I worked at clubs 3-5 nights per week. At one club I replaced their regular dancer who was giving up dance work after 25 years, and she advised me to take on a professional name and to create a unique dance persona for myself for my club work.

So I did that, and it worked well for those situations. As “Mitzi”, I wore a lot of makeup, so I looked older. I invented a boyfriend who used to “call” me at certain times. I basically just set an alarm on my phone with a special ringtone, and I'd “answer” it and chat for a bit.
