Thank you @BACRdotORG for bringing ELO-P to life with your stories about how engaged students are your programs! We were thrilled to hear about kids asking their parents not to pick them up early so they could finish a project or game with their friends. #caleg #edpolicy

$$$ clearly isn't enough - we also need state solutions and infrastructure to fix the #afterschool staffing crisis. We hope the @CAgovernor's Administration invests more attention to this issue. @NancySkinnerCA @AsmMiaBonta. @Oaklandside @BACRdotORG
Staffing shortages are straining Oakland after-school programs.
Under-staffed programs are limited in how many students they can accommodate, leaving families scrambling to find other options.
