Broussard knows a thing about being closer to a civilian than a superstar, as the guy who tried to be Shams until he got outed as the YardLineYoda of the NBA
Time to start talking about the Jags?
@Chris_Broussard: “I don’t think the verdict is certain yet on Trevor. But I think he’s closer to a civilian than a superstar.”
@getnickwright: “No. He’s 6’6” with a rocket arm.”

Lots of national smoke now on “big swings” for DL- interesting to see

Just re-upping this.
Florida processes all of its pre-Election Day ballots before the polls close, and most counties will report those numbers quickly after 7. We could see 50% of the votes posted in first 15-20 minutes. Be careful to draw too many conclusions though 👇
One thing on tonight in Florida for people watching - it will look a bit like the opposite of a lot of states. Because Florida law - smartly - allows the counting of VBM and EV ballots before 7pm, the early results, if the race is competitive, will likely look pretty Democratic, and then likely get more Republican.
Again for of the obsessively online people, that isn't my prediction - its just how you have to think about the early returns.

5pm update: Florida has crossed 7.7M ballots cast (final was 11M in 2024, 7.8M in 2022). Registered Ds are at 77% of their 2024 total turnout, Rs at 71%, NPA/others at 63%.
Overall turnout is R+8.3 pts (2024 final was R+11.1 pts). Still modest but clear Dem enthusiasm edge.

Today's consensus across states w/ robust data: turnout is decent but not earth-shattering, and GOP voters/areas account for a disproportionate share of the decline vs. 2024.
The rate at which independents break for Dems will determine whether tonight is a wave or a wipeout.

Sources: The #Giants have been among the most active teams making calls, showing interest in buying from teams willing to sell players.
The difficult part, teams have told me, is that the Giants don’t have a 4th- or 5th-round pick in 2027. But from the sound of things, they’re pushing for bigger names who would require higher picks—and seem open to doing that.
The Greg Newsome extension today will create cap space for the organization.
Sources: #Giants and CB Greg Newsome have agreed to a 3-yr $46 million extension with $32m Guaranteed.
Newsome previously signed a 1-yr deal in free agency and cashes in after only 7 games.
Deal negotiated by @ErikBurkhardt of @RocNationSports
That ball may not even touch his palm before he’s getting it out of there Thursday night.

The Giants are being extremely aggressive in their pursuit of trading for Jonathan Taylor, per @RapSheet.
New York wants to acquire Taylor, plus a defensive tackle.
The Colts are open to trading Grover Stewart, who could join Taylor in a potential trade.
