#VPDNews: The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is asking for help to identify a man who was found in medical distress on a sidewalk near Keefer and Columbia streets on September 7. He was subsequently taken to hospital and passed away on September 11. Investigators do not suspect foul play and are not conducting a criminal investigation. Attempts to identify the man through DNA, missing person reports, and police databases have been unsuccessful. The deceased man appears to be white, between 45 and 60 years old, and 180 pounds. He had short grey/brown hair, brown eyes, and dentures, and a tattoo of an anchor on his upper left arm. VPD investigators are releasing a picture of the tattoo with hopes that someone may recognize it. Anyone who has information is asked to call VPD's Missing Person Unit at 604-717-2530 or email [email protected].
