"A biblical counselor serves as a beggar who can show other beggars not only where to find bread but how to eat and enjoy it." - The Gospel for Disordered Lives: An Introduction to Christ-Centered Biblical Counseling
Chuck and Kathi Bishop sharing on the beauty of beginning to dream again together as ambassadors of Christ and His Kingdom. What is it that we want to accomplish together? At the end of our lives, what will our marriage have been about and known for? Powerful exercise as Chuck and Kathi share their shared dream that they have mounted on their wall at home as to what their marriage is built to accomplish together and invite couples to do the same.
Your Kingdom, Our Marriage Day two is underway as Sandy Bacon speaks on repentance, confession, and being a peacemaker in marriage.
Thankful for Cy Jones leading us in worship and for pastors John and Joel of Citypoint in their support and partnership to encourage the marriages in their church and the broader Church in our region, with people coming as far as Las Vegas for support this weekend.
Praying for fruit that remains and that the Lord will use the rest of the day for healing, restoration, and encouragement!

When we feel alone, unstable, and anxious, God’s covenant-keeping love runs to us, holds us up and cheers our soul. He will not forsake his people.

One of the best things about CCEF is that you find ACBC, ABC, IABC, and IRBC, and virtually every BC group worshipping together and treating each other with kindness, respecting our differences and pursuing unity where possible. It is a beneficial conference with great sessions!

Prayer is one half of our ministry; and it gives to the other half all its power and success.

A Thought Biopsy.
Do you think about what you think about? What would it look like to take those thoughts captive? Lynne walks us through how that works from Scripture.
Several from our team are enjoying the Arise Women's Conference in Sedona! Such a beautiful place to share that Christ-centered care is available! With nine ladies on our team, we're more than ready to help support the women of our state with the love and care that Jesus abundantly provides us through the wisdom of His Word.

At Biblical Counseling of Arizona, we're so grateful for the robust theological training that the many women counselors on our staff have pursued, many of them with MDivs in theology or counseling from theologically conservative schools. We are grateful for their continued pursuit of that learning that extends far beyond proficiency because of their love of Christ and their love of learning!
BTW, if any of you ladies have an MDiv from RTS (or similar school) are in the west valley of Phoenix, Tucson, or Flagstaff and are considering biblical counseling, I'd love to talk to you to see if you are a good fit for our team!

We are thankful to share this interview with Katie as she shares her heart and love for counseling women in various situations of life.
Katie and her husband live in South Carolina but have been with BCA for years from when they were in ministry here in Phoenix. Whether meeting on Zoom or if you are local to the Greenville area, we know that you will be blessed by Katie's patient and compassionate care!

Ten parenting principles:
1. Do not lie to your kids.
2. Only create rules you will enforce every time.
3. Playing with them > preaching to them.
4. Be the lead repenter.
5. Read with them as much as is possible.
6. Discipline disrespect every time.
7. Teach them to love what you love.
8. Be interested in what interests them.
9. Lots of eye contact.
10. Like them, don’t just love them.
I think number 1 is actually the hardest. "Let your yes be yes and your no be no."
Which one is the hardest for you?
