The word ‘neocon’ means nothing anymore. It’s a simple “in-group/out-group” designation for petulant, emotional know-nothings whose politics are defined by vibes and mean-girl social dynamics.
Oh wow the pedo faced guy who thinks races shouldn't be allowed to intermarry and Hispanics are too dumb to be part of society turns out to also be a lying asshole, what a surprise.
Erika Kirk: “It’s the little things. I miss Charlie when I see his hot sauce on the shelf, which is now available at grocery stores everywhere.”
It’s an instinct.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The OP made up that second half of that quote. In the video Erika Kirk says no such thing.

If you think as I do that a core element of this show is Don's relationship with Sally, it's essentially a story about her escaping what obviously happened to her mother and what her mother did to Glenn.

This is from my Virginia Obamacare plan choices.
Who is buying this plan? Comes out to $67,000 per year in premiums!
Ask me what the cheapest Carefirst plan costs.

While folks discuss Hatchet and boys not reading—books are in competition with all other media, not just other books. Yes, some more Percy Jackson and Harry Potter would be good, but video games like The Legend of Zelda, Halo, and Red Dead fill a narrative void. Literacy matters, I know, and I want boys to read, but if we're talking about exposure to heroism and virtue, acts of courage, etc etc—they do get that nourishment elsewhere. Certain games enter the imagination and never leave—like a great fairy tale or YA novel.

Last night was the DC book launch for my campaigning memoir, ‘Ten Years On’. It was hosted by our good friend @MeghanMcCain, along with Jessica Reed Kraus (@houseinhabit) and @VanessaSantosXO, and hosted at the hottest restaurant in town, Butterworth’s.
I enjoyed being interviewed by Ben Domenech (@bdomenech), and meeting friends old and new, including the actor Andy Buckley, who appeared in VEEP (one of my favourite comedies) and played David Wallace in The Office.
I had a great time being interviewed by @cabot_phillips for @realDailyWire, and I have more interviews coming up.
Thank you again to the organisers for a fantastic Red, White & Brexit event, and please consider buying the book - more photos and a link below!

Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan posted an apology to Instagram after numerous sponsors dropped them. Normally, I’d give them grace, but they have consistently said some of the hateful, outrageous things imaginable over the last year without remorse. I don’t believe they’re remorseful now, either.

Days after election, Rubio delivers strong defense of war in Iran. Contrast with Vance could not be clearer.
Actually @Douthat60 asked this question the totally wrong way, it should've been: what if you got to maximize insults for 6 months as a personal reward for caving on immigration

What would a presidential campaign focused solely on the median voter and nothing else look like?

I've seen versions of this cope and they all ignore how many seats Dems started with. The "smart take" was that it would be hard for them to crack 230 bc they had so many swing seats already - Rs entered the cycle with just two members in districts won by Kamala.
The biggest GOP House majority since the New Deal was the 2014 majority of 247 seats. Dems have already zoomed past that. And their big New Deal era majorities relied on Solid South conservatives who were replaced by Rs long ago. A majority of this size, where the most conservative member is Henry Cuellar (a pro-life Hispanic who's otherwise a normal liberal), is brand new.

I repeatedly noted during the campaign that El-Sayed’s central message was a lie.
He kept saying he wants to stop military aid to Israel to focus on spending money here. He was absurdly blaming affordability on that aid. Putting aside that the military aid was already being spent in America (at defense companies), it was also clear that he actually supported sending many more tax dollars to UNRWA and other foreign groups. Which doesn’t help Americans with affordability at all.
Unfortunately, much of the press never challenged him on this lie and now he can come out and admit it.

Our complete forecast, which incorporated Kalshi order books and expert ratings, slightly outperformed our legacy forecast. Final Kalshi markets were more accurate than any individual model in races.

When the last several Harry Potter books were released, we had midnight book launches attended by millions. Children, in some cases very young, finished these 700 & 800 page books in a single day. And now people are telling me I made it up, that this couldn’t ever have happened.
