In today's video, I take a look at a first person shooter I missed the first time around, but I'm glad this remaster is available, because I'm really digging it so far: youtu.be/si8o1jmjh0w?is=osT0…

Schools need to bring back home economics and practical life skills classes. Teach students how to cook a proper meal, sew a button, repair basic household items, use tools, and build something with their own hands in woodshop. Not every lesson needs to come from a textbook. Some of the most valuable skills are the ones you use every single day. Imagine graduating high school knowing how to prepare healthy meals, fix simple things around the house, manage basic household responsibilities, and create something from scratch. These classes teach independence, creativity, problem-solving, and self-reliance. Not every student will go to college, but every student will eventually have to take care of themselves. Schools should prepare kids for life, not just for exams.

Tell me about it, I'll be so glad when this damn election is over.
It’s funny but I don’t remember giving the government permission to bombard my personal cell phone night and day with political messaging!

There are several things android does very well, but this is one thing I definitely like a lot more about iOS. When an update releases, you know it's available for your device if it's supported. It's especially nice knowing this when there are a11y features, fixes, or updates
I just love how Apple delivers updates. My iPhone, Apple Watch, and MacBook all get the update at the same time. Whether you have an iPhone 11 or an iPhone 18 Pro, you get the update at the same time. No matter where you live in the world, you get the update at the same time as everybody else. Updates are never held back by local carriers either. In short, everyone in the world gets it at the exact same time.

In today's video, I give a very quick update on a couple games, then talk about all my experiences with the upcoming Glide mobility device for the blind and visually impaired: youtu.be/2_1HfllJZcg?is=GqIL…

I just noticed that change this evening. At first I thought that subscriptions area was completely gone. Luckily I found it, but yeah, I don't think I like this change at all. At least they seem to fix a few VO broken areas when unlocking a video now.
Not a fan at all of YouTube’s new app update. Why remove the dedicated Subscriptions tab and make us swipe through Home to access it? Home is for discovering content. Subscriptions is for catching up with creators we already follow. Not every change is an improvement.

I'm kind of excited. I'll be going into the office soon to get a hands-on look at the upcoming Glide device for blind users. Would people be interested in a video with my initial thoughts in the next couple of days? i'm curious to see how this device is shaping up.

A reasonable take. I'm just tired of everyone forcing performative identity politics down our throats, no matter what it is. I'm not LGBT, but I do have a disability. I advocate for accessibility when I can, but otherwise just try to stay out of things and live my life.
As a gay man, one of the biggest frustrations I have with modern LGBTQIA+ activism is that it insists on speaking for all of us. It doesn’t. There are millions of gay people who simply want to live normal lives, build careers, get married, have families, and be judged by the same standards as everyone else. Instead, every major corporation, activist organization, and media outlet elevates the loudest, most ideological voices and presents them as if they represent the entire community. They don’t represent me. I don’t believe biological sex is meaningless. I don’t believe children should be at the center of culture war battles. I don’t believe every institution has to revolve around identity politics. Most importantly, I don’t believe disagreeing with activists makes someone anti-gay. The greatest victories for gay Americans came from convincing the public that we deserved equal treatment under the law, not that society had to redefine reality to accommodate every new ideological demand. When activism becomes untethered from common sense, it stops building support and starts burning it. That’s exactly what we’re watching happen.

I never thought the game in today's video would ever be remastered, but here we are. It's a point-and-click, Claimation adventure game based on several Edgar Allan Poe stories: youtu.be/vH_6o_GE5GY?is=G6IZ…

Well, another rather ugly win, but it was a win. It's frustrating to see so many talented offensive players, but our offense still struggling horribly. Our defense bailed us out again. I think we might need a new offensive play caller though.

I'm really not impressed with Alexa + right now. It killed my Vikings stream, and now it says I'm out of service area from KFAN. And half the time when I try to play that service, it doesn't initiate it correctly. Oh well, I guess I'll play it on my phone then.

Dammit, I kind of wish I wouldn't have watched that. This actually looks pretty cool, and now will never get to play it.
A BioWare dev on reddit leaked a Mass Effect 5 trailer... it's called MASS EFFECT UNIVERSE and it's fucking gorgeous. I'm crying. This is everything I wanted. They were a lot farther than we thought. FUCK EA

Interesting, I could see that definitely helping in a couple of levels. Especially those foggy ones. I absolutely love the combat in this game, though.
High Contrast mode for the game Trepang2. Took me a while to fix crashes, but now the mod is working perfectly. Hope this mod helps those who struggle to see in this game like I did. I also increased crosshair thickness. #Accessibility nexusmods.com/trepang2/mods/…

Burnout 3 is underrated as one of the very, very best games of all time because you can show Burnout 3 footage to people two decades later and their reaction will still be "hell yeah, this rules. I wanna play this right now."

Tough to believe I can reply directly to Christopher Lloyd in this day and age to directly wish him a Happy Birthday and thank him for his contribution to my childhood. Happy Birthday, Doc. You made my childhood better.
