So this woman wants to get married in the Catholic Church. In order for that to happen, her future husband’s family (my husband’s side) need to fill out witness statements about him. Now these questions are very invasive and if my husband fills it out, it’s gonna be truthful. Now the truthful part is gonna hurt her and their relationship because my BIL has not been truthful himself and wanted to give his brother the opportunity to come out with the truth before he submitted this paperwork.
So to protect her and her relationship to the church and to not lie on paperwork given by the church, my husband has refused to fill out the questionnaire. She got upset and said that my husband is the reason they can’t get married and said some harsh words to him prior to this comment. My husband stopped texting back and she decided to come back with this line.

I’m a mom.
Kids are a lot. They are priority and add restrictions and responsibilities that a child free person does not have.
When dating and trying to figure out how you fit into someone’s life, many people do not want to be restricted by someone else’s circumstances. Many people do not want to potentially take on that added responsibility, especially considering they had no part in creating that responsibility. Some people would like to come first in their partners life and require a level of attention that a parent cannot give.
It is OK to not want to date people with children. That doesn’t necessarily mean you hate children.

Not on topic, but I’ll never understand why Fox News is stationed in New York City when they are absolutely terrified of the people in it. Why don’t they move their headquarters to Mississippi or Alabama?

Dang. This is mad spot on
Snoop Dogg explained in 80 seconds why men stopped approaching women.
Do men not shoot their shot anymore because social media turned dating into a simulation?
Snoop says yes, and his reason is better than the usual “phones ruined everything” take.
In his era, getting with someone took real effort. You had to look at her, talk to her, get her to like you, and know her parents and how she moved. You had to get involved before you could get involved.
Now it’s a couple of pictures and a couple of lines, and people expect something real from a few typed words.
The part I found most interesting is his point about texting. A text gives you what he’s typing, not what he’s saying. “You look good today” can read as sweet or creepy depending on the mood of the person reading it. Text has no tone, face or feeling to go with it.
Approaching someone in person is hard on purpose. It makes you learn to read people, handle a no, and become someone worth talking to. When you skip that, you also skip what it would have taught you.
What he calls the cheat code ended up costing men the skill.

So he was racist until Naomi started getting money?
Naomi Osaka's Grandfather Refused to Speak to Her Mother for Years. In 2018, He Wept Watching Naomi on Television
Somewhere in Hokkaido, a 73-year-old man watched his granddaughter on television, and wept.
His name is Tetsuo Osaka. And for years, he had not spoken to his own daughter.
Her name is Tamaki. She grew up in Nemuro, a fishing town at the eastern tip of Hokkaido. Her mother's ancestors fished in the Kuril Islands until the Soviet Union took them over at the end of the Second World War, and the family moved to Nemuro. For high school, Tamaki went to Sapporo. There, in 1990, she met a Haitian-American college student named Leonard François.
They kept the relationship secret for years. When Tamaki's father began pushing the idea of an arranged marriage, she told him about Leonard. He did not approve. He accused her of bringing shame on the family, because Leonard was not Japanese or simply he was Black.
The couple moved far away from Hokkaido, to the city of Osaka. That is where Naomi was born, in October 1997. Her surname, in the end, came from her mother's side.
For a long stretch, Tamaki had little to no contact with her family. Accounts differ on how long. One says about five years. Another says about a decade. A third says twelve years.
Then, slowly, the silence ended.
Naomi's Japanese grandfather had been against the family's plan for her tennis, and the decision to homeschool her. But he came around. Eventually, he became one of her biggest supporters.
When she won the US Open in 2018, he was 73, and he cried. In January 2019, at 74, he smiled at a press conference in Nemuro, the town his daughter had left. In 2021, he told a Japanese newspaper that he would like Naomi to open a tennis school for children in Nemuro. He likened her to an alpinist, always going after higher mountains.
