I was listed prominently among Labour Together's "significant persons of interest" when APCO was tasked with digging up dirt on journalists to kill critical reporting on Starmer's corrupt rise to power. No outlet that reported on the LT/APCO scandal contacted me, however.

🧵: To add to this, mainstream coverage of Labour Together/APCO scandal completely omitted *any* mention of me, despite the fact I was completely central to it. Credit to @tribunemagazine/@karl_fh for calling out the media on its "selective solidarity": tribunemag.co.uk/2026/02/fle…
This is very interesting. Here, @ZackPolanski talks about disproportionate media scrutiny. He brings up Labour Together, Josh Simons and the scandal around Labour Together hiring APCO Worldwide to target journalists, including me. Before Polanski can complete his point, he is interrupted by @robpowellnews, who says that was appropriately reported by the media. But that's not what happened AT ALL. In fact, I can now reveal, for the first time, that an as-yet unknown journalist at the Guardian KNEW about this story for 2 years and didn't report it. I found this out in from my Subject Access Request to Labour Together. I've copied a screengrab below. It shows that in February 2024, Josh Simons forwarded a series of emails to the journalist. The emails had been sent by Simons and his Chief of Staff at Labour Together to the National Cyber Security Centre. You'll note in the attached image that the name of the Guardian journalist has been blacked out. But Labour Together have confirmed that they were, indeed, a Guardian journalist. The emails forwarded by Simons show that Labour Together had told the NCSC that I was at the centre of a mad conspiracy theory, making all sorts of wild, ludicrous, highly defamatory allegations about me, my colleague @andrewfeinstein, and my family. The emails explicitly mention that Labour Together had attached an extensive report on which these seriously defamatory allegations was based. It also made it clear that Labour Together had done this after I worked with the Sunday Times and other outlets to break stories about Labour Together and Morgan McSweeney's unlawful conduct. What makes this all particularly egregious is that me and @andrewfeinstein have had a long relationship with the Guardian. Andrew had worked with it's investigative team since the mid-2000s, focusing on investigating BAE Systems and corruption. The Guardian positively reviewed his book, The Shadow World: Inside the Global Arms Trade, on which I also worked. The award-winning feature documentary based on the book, made by recent Oscar nominee director Johan Grimonperez, featured a lengthy interview with the inimitable David Leigh about the BAE story. Leigh was the Guardian and Observer's long-time head of investigations. I started collaborating with the Guardian investigation team in the mid-2010s, focusing on corruption at AgustaWestland. The Guardian also splashed with an investigation based on my work in South Africa in 2022, which had been covered by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism. Andrew and I had both written for the paper, worked on joint investigations, and also acted as sources for Guardian stories. There are any number of stories where we are not credited but where we provided key information or connected the paper to whistleblowers. This is not to cloak me and Andrew in mainstream respectability or buff our credentials, but to point out that debunking the lunatic claims in the NCSC emails would have taken five minutes and a few phonecalls around the Guardian office. Perhaps then the Guardian could have reported on this despicable attempt to destroy the reputation of long-time Guardian contributors and collaborators with fabrications and conspiracy theories by the people on their way to forming the next government. But that didn't happen. Instead, a journalist at the Guardian KNEW that Simons and Labour Together had been doing all this outrageous stuff to protect Starmer and McSweeney. For two years: while Labour Together was funding 100 incoming MPs, Josh Simons was getting parachuted into Makerfield and Morgan McSweeney rose to the position of Chief of Staff. And nothing was reported. We now know, of course, that the highest levels of the Labour Party had also been copied into discussions about the mad Labour Together/APCO investigation, including McSweeney himself and head of Comms, Paul Ovenden (who was later forced to resign as Chief of Strategy in Number 10 because of revelations from my book). Just how many other people in Labour knew? Just how many other journalists knew? We still don't know. Can't say that mainstream outlets have done anything much to help me find out; half the time, as with the BBC, they don't even bother to ask me or Andrew to comment the scandal before amplifying the exculpatory self-justifications of Simons and his ilk. In the end it took brave INDEPENDENT journalists like Khadija Shariffe & Peter Geoghegan (rightly now nominated for the Paul Foot Award), @PulaRJS and @OborneTweets to break the story. While I'm endlessly grateful for that reporting, and this story breaking through into the mainstream through the dogged work of Peter and Khadija, it should never have taken this long, and it speaks volumes that it only really did so after it was revealed that the Labour Together/APCO investigation had also targeted journalists at the Guardian and Sunday Times. Just imagine the Guardian had reported on this back in February 2024. Just imagine the Guardian, which has NEVER, not once, properly reported on the Labour Together donations story, decided to look into McSweeney's unlawful conduct. Just imagine the public had been made aware of the character of Morgan McSweeney and the nature of this political project. Maybe, just maybe, McSweeney's wretched, scandalous proclivities wouldn't have destroyed the first Labour government in 15 years, opening up the way for Reform, and tainting the Labour Party with the stench of Mandelson and the horrors of Epstein. Maybe Starmer, so coddled and protected by the Guardian's soft-touch reporting, would have been made battle-hardened and ready for governance by some proper scrutiny and challenge. Or maybe we could have found out, long before this current crisis, that he wasn't up for the task. But don't try to pretend that there is an equality of scrutiny in the media, and that the mainstream media is fearlessly holding the powerful to task with the same rigour that makes it to literally go rooting around Polanski's dirty laundry.

It's ok everyone, Tapp has clearly suffered a major head trauma resulting in nonsensical outbursts, dribbling, and rampant bigotry via Zionism. No functioning adult speaks like this.
Are the Green Party organising riots? I’m very concerned by the language from a political party. First antisemitism, now this.

The reality of the "independent" review telling every school in England to adopt the IHRA definition of antisemitism: its author, Sir David Bell, was being paid by a government agency while he wrote it, and a pro-Israel charity has listed him on its council for ten years. The government told the public he was "independent of Government" and had "no conflict of interest". Neither is true. What we found: - Bell was paid £20,000 a year as vice-chair of Skills England, a government agency, in a seat the Department for Education gave him. He held it until August, through most of the review. - The Academic Study Group on Israel and the Middle East has listed him on its council since at least 2016. Its website says its one firm policy is opposing boycotts of Israel. It gives talks on Israel in schools, which is exactly what his review was asked to judge. - In 2005, as chief inspector of schools, he singled out Muslim schools as a challenge to "our coherence as a nation". The chairman of the Association of Muslim Schools called it Islamophobia, and his own inspectors said he had presented a personal view as inspection evidence. Then we followed the money: - The department's £1.3 million antisemitism training contract had one bidder, according to the tender record. It went to Palace Yard, a company set up in 2022 by the former Labour MP Natascha Engel. - That contract says all its training must use the IHRA definition "as a foundation". It was signed eight months before Bell was appointed. His review then recommended IHRA. - Two of the people who advised Bell, from Partnerships for Jewish Schools and the Antisemitism Policy Trust, now sit on the group putting his recommendations into practice. - The Union of Jewish Students, also on that group, holds a contract worth almost £1 million to train universities. Its own policies include "UJS to advocate for Israel within UK Policy and International Law". - UK Lawyers for Israel* (UKLFI) and the Campaign Against Antisemitism* (CAA) both say the review adopted their recommendations. *For context, UKLFI once justified the starvation of Palestinians in Gaza by the Israeli occupation as "good for obesity". Both these groups have staunchly defended Israel throughout its perpetration of a genocide in Gaza, and regularly conflate Jewish people with the apartheid state. This matters because the review decides how every school treats what pupils and teachers say about Israel, and the IHRA definition it recommends treats some criticism of Israel as antisemitic. A review with that power should come from someone with no pay from government and no tie to a pro-Israel charity. Bell had both. The government put one in a footnote and left the other out. We mapped every link, each with its source, explaining just how far this review is from "independent": newscord.org/editorials/davi…

This Monday, @BylineTimes posted an article about us with the misleading headline “Mysterious Right-Wing Think Tank Demanding Charity Transparency Won't Say Who Runs or Funds It.” We very explicitly responded to their reporter’s Right of Reply with the factually correct statement that we do not disclose any funders because we have none. We wrote to them requesting the headline be changed and a correction publicised. Unfortunately they have not responded. We urge Byline to correct their false headline with immediate effect and publicise said correction, lest we are forced to escalate the complaint to their regulator, Impress. Former intelligence officer Mike Tapp was funded by serial pro-Israeli lobbyist Stuart Roden. Three days after he was elected, the Guardian described him one of “five fresh Labour MPs to watch”. Five months later, he was announced as a Labour Friends of Israel vice-chair.
“Have you spoken to any Palestinian organizations before you wrote your letter?” @ShehabKhan presses Labour MP Mike Tapp who reported the Green Party over its Zionism motion about whether he’s ever spoken to any Palestinians. Tapp: “I don’t know any Palestinian people.”

According to the British intelligence services, the main threats faced by British citizens and especially by Muslims on our streets are not from the Islamophobic mobs or racist pogroms. Nor are they, of course, from police harassment and intimidation. No, the main threats are from Russia and Iran. They are apparently engaged in a bewildering variety of plots and ‘potentially lethal’ activities, where the main victims are Jews. Oddly, we have not had a single verified incident in which either Iran or Russia has been shown to have been involved in anything at all, in the last five years. We do know, however, that Muslims are actually under attack. And less well-known, we also know that the British state has reorganised its propaganda apparatus and added Iran as a major focus of attention to Russia, which it has been targeting since 2014. The creation of a new Hybrid Threats Directorate in the Foreign Office which acts as a ‘fusion’ clearing house for all propaganda on Russia and Iran (and also, incidentally, Gaza and China) is at the root of almost all hysterical claims that the Russians and Iran are actively carrying out ‘hybrid’ attacks in the UK. The head of the Hybrid Threats Directorate is Jonny Hall. In January this year, he admitted to the Foreign Affairs Committee that there has been a significant expansion in their propaganda work: “While we have stepped up the scale and tempo of our activity against the acute threat from Russia over the last 12 to 18 months, we are absolutely expanding both our own work, our partnerships and our engagement with our allies globally beyond Europe on what this threat picture looks like and what that means for future action.” When several ambulances were set on fire in Golders Green, the first instinct of the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, Mark Rowley, was to lean into the messaging coming out of the Hybrid Threats Directorate. Speaking immediately following the incident, he claimed on 23 March 2026 that while it was ‘too early’ to officially attribute the arson to Tehran, the “rapid growth in recent years of Iranian state threats is grave”. On 1 May, according to an interview in The Times, Rowley claimed that Jewish people were at the centre of a ‘ghastly Venn diagram of hate’ as they were targeted by extremists and terrorists on the left and right, as well as state-backed actors. ............. Obviously all of this is nonsense. Read the rest of my article below to find out how they construct this farrago of lies. My latest column for The Column magazine. Via @ukcolumn

Matt, that power configuration is typical for a data centre backup power plant, likely 2.5Mva engines in containerised format. That size of fuel order would only sustain the plant for a short period. It is very likely that a large secret datacentre has been built in Akrotiri.
🚨 A secret US military installation called CAMP SIERRA was set up inside Britain's RAF Akrotiri base on Cyprus during the Gaza genocide • The facility was operational by January 2024, just three months after Israel began its assault on Gaza • CAMP SIERRA had 12 diesel-powered generators in January 2024, doubling to 24 by June • US documents show orders for tens of thousands of gallons of diesel to keep the installation running • American military personnel escorted contractors delivering fuel directly to the generators • US Air Force used RAF Akrotiri for secret transfers of American weapons and special forces to Israel throughout the genocide What was CAMP SIERRA for?

Anyone with the courage to publicly oppose Zionism faces the full force of the lobby and the compliant press. We applaud Dr Jaser’s knowledge, integrity and moral clarity in the face of these attacks. Listen to Palestinians when they talk about Zionism.
Anti-Palestinian Racism about the training on Anti-Palestinian Racism? I am on the Jewish Chronicle today, an openly Zionist British Newspaper. In an article which associates me with terrorism and anti-Semitism, which is a typical way to discredit and silence Palestinian voices by creating fear and reputational risk. The Jewish Chronicle claims this is an exclusive. What they don't know is that the analysis in the article comes from a presentation that is public and available online. It is the training on Anti-Palestinian Racism that I delivered to the @Greens4P and Broad Gree Party, on Sep 10th, prior to the passing of their motion Zionism is Racism. You can access the files and judge for yourself here – and in the process learn about #AntiPalestinianRacism: youtube.com/watch?v=8W9JhZHZ… What the Jewish Chronicle doesn’t know is that for more than a month, two other national-level broadsheets have put to me the same three analyses from the Q&A (one on armed resistance, one on IHRA definitions of antisemitism, and one on the racist nature of Zionism). Neither broadsheet has published them, because, literally, there is no news in what I say. Everything is corroborated and supported by academic sources. In my analysis of the Industry of Silence, I define this fear, created to deplatform Palestinians, as the ‘Nakba amongst us’, an attempt to erase us and our voices wherever we are! It's not anti-trans guidance Paul. It's reiterating the existing law and defending the rights and interests of women. It's an interesting piece of the mosaic though, that you're a Stonewall position person. Curious also that you do a call-out to TRA's to gather clout for this.
Although I wish the lawyers (and Huda Ammori) well and think the legal challenge against proscription is vital, I would be surprised if the Supreme Court overturns the proscription. The UK courts get increasingly conservative (and obtuse) the further up the appeal chain you go - as was seen in the maddening, frankly bizarre Supreme Court ruling about gender recognition that has led to the new anti-trans EHRC guidance. The courts in the UK - and especially the Supreme Court - is extremely reluctant to be seen to violating the separation of powers. As a result, they frequently defer to the role and expertise of government in making decisions about things like proscription or approving arms sales to Saudi Arabia. Again and again, the courts have ruled that national security decisions, and their wisdom, is the preserve of government. It's important to remember that the court will not rule in whether it was the "right" or even "logical" decision - only on whether it was within the scope of government power, and wasn't an infringement of free speech rights (which the Court of Appeal found it did not). I suspect the ECHR would find in favour of speech rights, but that's a long way off; it was also always my suspicion that the likes of Mahmood were hoping that the ECHR would do so, to begin the process of building consent to pull the UK from the European courts in the name of "national security" or "fighting antisemitism." Unless there is some coded politicking behind the scenes, I think it is more likely than not that Palestine Action will remain proscribed. The Burnham government will then hide behind the judgment, relying on the mainstream media to fail to properly report what has happened. The point of all of this is: desproscribing Palestine Action will most likely be a political struggle, not a legal one. The way to end the proscription is to raise the political cost to Burnham and Co of refusing to move to desproscribe, which they can do very easily in the Commons. How that can be done is up for debate, but Burnham and Cooper and the rest of them will only desproscribe if they think failing to do so will lead to them losing power. And if they don't overturn this wretched decision, maybe they don't deserve to hold power anyway.
