One thing that's been really bugging me lately about AI writing, not because it's AI but just because it's bad writing, is the negation of stuff that nobody was saying or ever really would say. "Every ingredient has a job on a steam table." On the surface, this seems like an informative statement, but it's completely immaterial. Every ingredient in something always has a job. Otherwise why would it be there? The whole construction is a waste of your attention.
The scrambled eggs at a hotel breakfast are 19% water, and they're dyed. A lot of hotels and cafeterias pour them from a carton of Papetti's Breakfast Blend. The spec sheet reads whole eggs, 19% water, then under 2% of salt, xanthan gum, citric acid, annatto color and natural butter flavor. Papetti's is part of Michael Foods, one of the biggest egg processors in the country. Every ingredient has a job on a steam table. Xanthan gum holds the added water in the egg so it doesn't weep into the pan. Citric acid keeps the eggs from turning gray or green under a heat lamp. Annatto puts back the yolk color the water washed out. The butter flavor is there because nobody is going to add butter. The carton keeps for 98 days in the cooler. The plain version from the same company is whole eggs, whey, skim milk, xanthan and citric acid, with almost no added water and half the sodium.

Frustrated younger, male voters feeling locked out of the economy and diminishing opportunities are rapidly abandoning the Republican coalition, or straight up opting out of political action altogether. Read the full story: bloom.bg/4i46lZH 📷: Rory Doyle/Bloomberg

In their files, Obama’s FBI referred to Seals as “a self-described revolutionary who has espoused somewhat militant rhetoric”. It’s fuckin crazy that they have over 900 pages on Seals, but around 860 of those pages were fully redacted.
Daren Seals was the defender of truth and Barack Coonbama gave the green light to murder because he was scared of the people who voted for him calling him a sellout and racist

it’s interesting how you can get into such bad dynamics with people that nothing you say can be possibly received normally by them, because everything is overcharged with meaning. have not found a way to resolve this except time

They didn’t mention that black women were just as likely to be absent from the polls because the point of the article is to pathologize and castigate Black men as the scourge of our communities. This is a long coordinated attack, and most “analysts” can’t or won’t name it as such
I found the data this article used, and it is worse than I thought. They deliberately left out that the percentages are nearly identical, at 51% and 49% for men and women, respectively. So why didn't they ask the 293,000 BW or use them as a talking point? I'd sue.

The last time pro-Black people cared about that, $90M disappeared and the best chance to get Black centered legislation in 50 years turned into twerking on riot cops and electric slide contests.

getting pregnant because you think your white mommy privilege will keep you out of jail is kind of wildly inhumane for the child
Something that struck me watching You Can See Everything is how wildly inhumane it is to send a new mother to prison

Really liked YCSE, but I really struggled with the ickiness of Nathan Fielder humoring her “getting his nose.” It’s important to remember the New York Times and court documents show that her “getting someone’s nose” was actually her thumb poking out of her closed fist.

Native women weren’t allowed to vote with the 19th amendment. Why didn’t white women say “no we refuse to accept voting rights if you don’t give it to all women. Where was this women solidarity for Native women?
Replying to @jojoslyfe21
Black women got the vote together with white women, due to white women fighting and dying for it, while black men got it 50 years before and they didn't say "No, we refuse if you don't give the same right to women" lol Maybe these women you bash are picking the right side

dumb starbucks unleashed a creative monster
Really enjoyed You Can See Everything. Might be most meta documentary ever. No spoilers but will say this interview Christopher Nolan did with Nathan Fielder about his show “The Curse” — explaining his creative process — really comes through in Holmes film: ▫️setting the tone is his top priority, even moreso than narrative (“when you have the tone right, everything falls into place”) ▫️Fielder says he “stumbles into ideas he gets excited about” without a master plan and “just piles things on and it grows” (for the Holmes doc, he had an agreement with A24 to scrap the project even after years of shooting if he didn’t think there was a film) ▫️the musical score is crucial in setting the tone (the sound doesn’t even have to match action on the scene, it can float above just setting mood) ▫️he doesn’t want to rush scenes; let them develop to the point where audience is expecting any action to be consequential and it builds the tension (inspired by old detective TV show Columbo) *** Full interview here (Nolan really is a Fielder Stan): youtu.be/etoG2I6gaHE?si=SPNz…
