The Valley race is heating up and only 3 teams control their own destiny for the MVFC championship (or share of it). To say Saturday’s game in Brookings is a big one would be a massive understatement.

So much to unpack from a very "So What, Now What" USD win. Catch Vitzthum's best soundbites from a banger of a presser on our COYOTE LOUNGE post-game show at midwestsportsplus.com & siouxfallslive.com with me, @IceBorg & @houchin5_trey a little later this evening.

GAME WEEK: Halloween in Brookings. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

South Dakota led North Dakota 20-3 at halftime Saturday. The Coyotes looked ready to cruise past a top-10 opponent. Then they apparently decided winning comfortably wasn’t particularly interesting.…

Lots of banter about attendance lately but this is straight out of the 1987 USD Media Guide. 10K for D Days in 86 for national runner up team. I was at every home game that year. You can see we also have lower attendance for other games and 9500 for semi final game v Troy St.

Some of the best bars are the ones that time forgot, like Leo's in Vermillion, SD Awesome wings, service and post-game vibe. I think half the '86 team was here. Doubt the place has changed since their playing days.

I respect the hell out of Coach Vitzthum. His message and delivery on any topic always feels authentic and consistent. He believes in his team players and coaches. He believes in Coyote Nation. I do too.

@CoachVitzthum had a ton of passion in the post-game presser, but this part was the most important piece!
