South Dakota QB Austin Modrzewski now has 24 touchdown passes on the season and is 5th at USD in a single season. He needs 2 more to tie Aidan Bouman's 2025 season and 3 more to tie Austin Simmons in 2019 with 27

25. @StonyBrookFB (5-3)
π BIGGEST RISER: @SDCoyotesFB, 9 β 4. They beat No. 3 North Dakota head-to-head, 26-23 in OT. By Week 8 there are no flukes β if you beat them, you're better than them. Those wins count.
π BIGGEST FALLER: @LehighFootball, 6 β 19. Two straight losses β Cornell, then Villanova. The rΓ©sumΓ© doesn't lie.
NEW IN: Richmond, Weber State, South Carolina State, @StonyBrookFB.
OUT: Southeastern Louisiana, Cornell, Morgan State, Northern Iowa.
FIRST OUT: Villanova β the win over Lehigh is real credit, but 4-4 is 4-4. Win at Lafayette and you're in.

Lots of banter about attendance lately but this is straight out of the 1987 USD Media Guide. 10K for D Days in 86 for national runner up team. I was at every home game that year. You can see we also have lower attendance for other games and 9500 for semi final game v Troy St.
