According to @txcomptroller, Texas is the 8th largest economy in the world. And yet #txlege responsible for multi-billion$ budget meets only 5 months every other year. Also, sporadic meetings and low pay (except in session) mean most everyday Texans can't afford to run & serve.
From biennial legislative sessions to pauper's wages for lawmakers, Texas is the nation's leading outlier when it comes to self-governance. statesman.com/story/news/col…
Tuesday night was one of the best nights of my life. For those who don't know, which likely is most of you, because I've been pretty quiet since Election Day, last night I took my seat on the Kyle City Council.
On a closing note ... I couldn't be more excited to represent the people of this great city. If you have ideas, questions, comments, concerns or are struggling and need support, please reach out.
My email is [email protected]. Save it in the event you need it.

It’s great seeing candidates like @BearHeiser on the November general election ballot! Too many, especially those on the East side of I-35, feel like they’ve been left behind by the city and Hays County. Bear will serve Kyle well when he’s elected to city council. #Election2022 – at Kyle, TX

All sorts of gov actors need to meddle less in tech company decisions. I don't doubt the FBI was heavy-handed wrt how social platforms handled content around the election. But this isn't the weird smoking gun lots of people are making it out to be (also, it was Trump's FBI!)

There is no ‘teacher shortage’. There are thousands of qualified experiences teachers who are no longer teaching. There’s a shortage of respect and proper compensation for teachers allowing them to actually teach.
