IMO the reason they did this is because SCOTUS Justice Scalia announced he was considering retiring next year, and a Republican-controlled Senate would have most likely given @POTUS another @USSupremeCourt pick, which would assist in defeating the anti-American leftist agenda.

When democrats take control of the Senate, they will undoubtedly nuke the filibuster.
We know this because they have tried several times, but there is no Senator Manchin or Sinema to stop them this time.
While Republicans are still in control, we must nuke the filibuster & put as much legislation on President Trump’s desk as we can.
