EXCLUSIVE: Mexican Illegal Charged With Murdering Own Mother, Abusing Her Corpse in Kentucky
An illegal alien from Mexico is facing a slew of charges in connection with the murder of his own mother in Kentucky earlier this year.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has provided Border Hawk with immigration background on Braulio Daniel Sanchez Orozco, 24.
On May 27, Louisville Metropolitan Police Department (LMPD) officers responded to a residence where they found a deceased woman identified as 44-year-old Maria Elena Sanchez Orozco.
Her son, Braulio, had called 911 and reportedly told local media he believed his mother’s boyfriend had killed her.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office listed Maria’s cause of death as “sharp force injuries.”
Despite Sanchez Orozco not being immediately charged in his mother’s killing, he was reportedly apprehended by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in July and was behind held at Adams County Correctional Center in Natchez, Mississippi, while in deportation proceedings.
On Oct. 8, he was transferred to the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections after being indicted on the following charges: Murder – Domestic Violence, Abuse of Corpse, Intimidating a Participant in the Legal Process, Tampering With Physical Evidence, and Tampering With Witness.
“Sanchez Orozco is charged with murder. He lawfully entered the country on a temporary basis on April 23, 2025. In violation of our nation’s laws, he refused to depart,” a DHS spokesperson told us.

BRAULIO DANIEL SANCHEZ OROZCO, 24, is charged with murdering his mother back in May and is currently being held in at the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections. Additional charges include tampering with physical evidence, intimidating a participant in the legal process, tampering with a witness, and abuse of a corpse.
The victim is 44-year-old Maria Elena Sanchez Orozco.
