When are we going to admit that the 40-hour workweek is an outdated, soul-sucking concept that needs to be reevaluated? you spend your entire adult life working 9 to 5, come home just to prepare for tomorrow’s shift, sleep, and repeat until you die. how is that living?

Working 40 hours a week should mean you can live like a human being. Pay rent without that knot in your stomach. Buy groceries without doing math in the checkout line. See a doctor without choosing between your health and bankruptcy. Nobody is asking for mansions, vacations every month, or to “live like a millionaire.” We just want one full-time job to cover a normal life again. Rent. Food. Healthcare. A little breathing room. That’s not greed. That’s the bare minimum. And we used to have it.
