The monopsony case relies on the golfers getting paid less. It is unlikely this will occur. It is a relatively simple matter to make a contractual commitment that it won’t. The merger price will be paid from LIV to everyone else involved. 2/n

Who is most vulnerable to air pollution? Older individuals, especially those with chronic conditions, are the ones most likely to die from acute exposure
Replying to @JulianReif
Who are these people? Compared to the 75% least vulnerable, the 1% of elderly most vulnerable to air pollution have 1/3 the life expectancy, are slightly older, and are 9 times more likely to have lung cancer.

Want to know the effect of the No Surprises Act on physician reimbursement? This paper starts to get at the answer. Great to work with @ErinLDuffy1 , Adam Biener and Erin Trish on this important question.
Cross-sectional study of @HealthCostInst commercial insurance claims suggests that the No Surprises Act may lower out-of-network payments to emergency medicine clinicians—especially from self-insured plans—with wide variation across regions. ja.ma/3DMzxkf @ErinLDuffy1

Buckle up, it's going to be a busy two weeks in surprise billing action in the House. We could see two markups, one in the Ways & Means Committee and another in Education & Labor, on separate proposals, per committee chairmen.

Result 1: Layoffs and hospitalizations do indeed cause long-term earnings losses. 12 years later, average earnings remain thousands of $$ lower and are not recovering. (I cite many papers with similar findings!) So, how does the government insure those risks?
