21,000 British soldiers died in German captivity in the First World War.
That’s more than the number who died in Japanese camps in WW2.
Many starved to death or were worked to death in mines, quarries and factories.
I won’t let these men’s sacrifice be forgotten.

My Dad was only 20 years old when was killed in Normandy in August 1944 two months before I was born.
He was younger than three of my grandchildren are now.
He has always been a hero to me.

The POS Vickrum Digwa, who was serving a minimum of 21 years for murdering Henry Nowak with a large dagger, appealed his minimum jail term, calling "manifestly excessive".
The judge upped it instead to 25 today.
Now try the police who ignored Henry as he died handcuffed, calling him a "liar" as he bled out, and deport the rest of the Digwas!

My ten-year-old’s prep school holds its Remembrance Service this morning. The words and hymns that used to wash over me as a boy now unfailingly move me to tears. To look at the assembled children as they read out the names of the 129 fallen old boys is almost unbearable. There is no danger, here, of anyone forgetting.
