To everyone celebrating Lula’s reelection victory, I just want us to all acknowledge Erika Hilton right here. She’s a Black trans woman who became the most voted congresswoman in Brazilian history this cycle and has been campaigning nonstop for Lula in the second round
Derrotamos a Meta. Derrotamos as bets. Derrotamos os EUA. Derrotamos a milícia. Derrotamos a Faria Lima. Derrotamos a turma do Vorcaro. Derrotamos Flávio Bolsonaro. Lula é tetra, e de virada. Isso é HISTÓRIA, e cada uma e cada um de vocês ajudou a escrever 💗

Brazil’s results tonight are a big endorsement for the idea that every country should have a second “are you you sure about that” election a couple weeks after the first one for the important stuff

You can't blame this loss on Green 'vote splitting' 1. The BC NDP called the early election, so that's 100% on them 2. The Greens support Proportional Representation, so they actually want to fix this system 3. The ONLY vote splits in recent memory were right-wing Liberals splitting the vote in 2011 Federally, and in 2018-2024 Ontario. 4. The BC CON win was so big, even a collapsed Green vote wouldn't have mattered. The left doesn't split votes: Liberals do, and moderates are the ones who elect right-wing governments.

incompetent vibe coders have flooded every software-related community with projects that -no one will ever use -could have been a PR -took 3 days to make -won’t see a single commit after v1.0.0 this is an overcorrection but the anger is very understandable
The r/OpenSource subreddit has officially banned anything using AI. In any way. Violators will be permanently banned. Which means… r/OpenSource will ban anyone submitting anything that, in any way, involves… the Linux kernel. reddit.com/r/opensource/comm…

Smh thank god for these videos because they would’ve been covering this up and make it look like its the people that’s been oppressed that’s carry out the atrocities that’s happening
This is so inhumane. I am so sorry the world is letting you all down!

The real security threat from AI is not that it will become sentient but that we built it in a way that makes it extremely good at finding security vulnerabilities, but completely incapable of generating code devoid of them.

To help against misinformation: This is the result of the Saudi Arabian buyout deal. The most ridiculous deal ever made where EA could barely cover the cost of the debt it accrued. A lot of people will attach their personal feelings to the "why" but this is the real reason ^

similar to how amazon refused to install AC bc it was cheaper to externalize the cost of an ambulence for heat stroke onto the employee, capitalists will always choose the cheapest option even if it causes mass death
A friendly reminder that data centers don't actually need water. They need a cooling system and are using water because it's the cheapest way to do it.

When Trump raided John Bolton last year it was met w/ immediate outrage in the opinion pages of NYT, WSJ, WaPo, Atlantic & New Yorker. Since Rep Omar was raided Mon––and subsquently threatened w/ deportation––these same outlets have been silent. I wrote about this double standard

Everyone who says "why don't the AI companies work on things that are actually good for humanity?" - well, this is the sort of thing we *were* working on before ChatGPT came out and everyone dropped everything to compete with that instead.
Google Deepmind (FNV3) CRUSHED the forecast for #Isaias up to 11 days in advance. It picked up some appreciable signal on September 23, locked in on the exact landfall location4 days before it happened, and nailed the peak intensity consistently 3 days before it happened. A new age of forecasting is upon us. First video: Track density using 1000 member ensemble Second Video: Individual tracks and mean using 50 member ensemble

I talked to all the girls from Japan and I can tell you that these meet & greet & merch price are immensely more affordable than most of the joshi meet & greets that come to N.A. Everyone on this show is incredibly excited to put on a good show.
Front row for “See You In Vancouver” is officially sold out! 2nd row & GA are still available.

I’m extremely sad to learn about the passing of Eddie Osbourne In an industry that glorifies big names, id love to educate people on who Eddie was in my life. The seed of “Ethan Page” was planted by me, but Eddie was one of the first promoters to water it & watch it grow. Opportunity is all we look for in wrestling. Eddie provided it to so many wrestlers & most of the time, it was the wrestlers nobody wanted to give a chance. An extremely unorthodox talent with a very old school point of view. Eddie truly loved professional wrestling & gave everything he had to put on events for fans across all of Canada. I’ll always be grateful for Eddie Osbourne opening doors for myself & many others. One of my first career rivals. A very giving veteran & very good example for me to follow. A legend of Canadian Independent Wrestling. My condolences to his family, friends & all of my peers on Canadian wrestling scene as a whole. Thank You Eddie ❤️

Tonight, something gave me hope.❤️ Our little blind girl seemed to follow me with her left eye… just a little. I don’t know yet how much she can see, and I don’t want to get ahead of the vet. But after everything she has been through, even the smallest glimpse of light would mean the world.🥺🐾 chuffed.org/project/019dc456…
