In 1979, US Army intelligence officer Joe McMoneagle, Remote Viewer 001 in the program later declassified as Project Stargate, was tasked with a building at Severodvinsk, home of the Sevmash yard and the Soviet Union's biggest submarine works. Across several sessions that September and October, he described huge industrial buildings, enormous power use, and then "high class submarines. These are the biggies." This is the story of that session as the declassified record and Joe's own account tell it: the twin hull, the missile tubes forward of the sail, the 120-day launch call, and the Typhoon-class submarine (Project 941 Akula) that came out of that hall. Plus the Legion of Merit he retired with, and the work he went on to do after the Army. Full Video in the Comments 👇🎥

A "breathing space" budget might be politically-astute but by definition it avoids taking any of the big and painful decisions that will have to be made eventually. And it makes those choices harder and more expensive too. thetimes.com/uk/scotland/art…

The research presented here about levels of support for political violence is mind-blowing and terrifying.

Here's the real story of this Budget, the can being kicked down the road. This Labour government is apparently planning spending cuts on most areas of public service spending of 2.6% per year between 2028-29 and 2031-32. Pull the other one. It's got bells on.

Please stop WHATEVER you are doing and take one minute to digest the single greatest moment of white savior petard hoisting ever witnessed during Black History Month. The pay off is commensurate of a Scottish civil service cover up NDA cheque.

Brian Muraresku and I discuss how human understanding of the relationship between consciousness and the physical world has evolved over the millennia, and why all current physicalist theories still fail to explain even one specific conscious experience. youtube.com/watch?v=nUjG6qtG…

The fatigue going into today’s session was exceptionally high especially after Monday’s best yetshort sprints of the 400m stamina build up phase and I also had to contend with a running surface of decaying wet leaves and broken branches from the recent storm.

The approach worked as today’s session apart from the first two reps was an improvement on the same session three weeks ago and later week by they didn’t have the same level of tiredness to contend with or such a challenging surface.

Today’s reps and average 200m splits were as follows: 36:12 39:21/35:64 44:35/35:44 46:10/35:46 53:86/35:91. With that level of fatigue and those conditions I’m really pleased with that and on the track these would all have been quicker at around 34/35 average 200m splits.

Healey cites the IMF as saying we have a path to deficit reduction. But that depends on public spending assumptions that no one believes!

Excellent @spikedonline analysis of the crisis at the BBC by my ex-boss @philmcraig. 20 years ago when I made science docs for the Beeb it was a global byword for impartiality. A reputation trashed by managers who refuse to uphold the Corporation's values. spiked-online.com/video/the-…

Jacinda Ardem, "professor of practice" (whatever that is...?! Never heard of this) at the Public Health school. I mean, why should you have medical professionals teach medicine when you can have politicians whose only argument is moral virtue do it? The future of medicine is bright! 🥳
Why does someone with plenty of money and a choice of how she spends her time choose to move into a public health position now?
