Stablecoins are the future.
The total market cap of stablecoins now exceeds $261B. This represents 1.4% of the U.S. M1 money supply.
That is absolutely MASSIVE. Stablecoin MC is up 50% YoY while M1 is relatively flat.
And the shift is just get started.
We're headed toward a future where 10%, 50%, even 90% of M1 lives onchain.

Circle stock up ~6x post-IPO debut
JPMorgan is launching its own stablecoin
More money is flowing onchain, and fast.
What does this mean for business?
You must adopt onchain payment rails or risk falling behind competitors already doing so.
And when that happens, Polygon PoS is uniquely positioned to dominate.
Major integrations across the industry, fast finality, ultra-low fees, 100k TPS soon, interoperability via Agglayer..... the list goes on.
Polygon is building the future of money movement.
And the network that wins payments, wins it all.

ICYMI, Agglayer CDK is now multistack.
"But Timmy, I have no idea wtf that means?"
That's okay, anon, I'll break it down for you.
So first, what is Agglayer?
The tl;dr is it's effectively an interoperability solution that unifies all of web 3.
Agglayer fixes fragmentation. It makes different chains work like one chain—connected by shared liquidity and fast, secure cross-chain messaging, backed by ZK proofs.
Imagine every chain, every VM, every stack, connected and able to transact with one another. The user experience is going to become so easy your grandma can use web 3.
Chains sharing liquidity -> less slippage on trades, chains designed for a specific use case, and users experience every ecosystem.
And today, we leveled up.
Instead of building with just CDK Erigon (think the way devs have to code and deploy), now Agglayer also supports OP Stack chains (different design/code).
This includes Optimism and Base.
This means builders can now launch high performance, low-cost OP Stack chains with native Agglayer connectivity. OP Stack rollups can now plug directly into Agglayer, gaining deeper liquidity, cross-chain messaging secured by ZK proofs, with a sovereign design, and no tax (OP Stack charges a 15% tax).
Builders choose what works best and everyone wins.
For users, moving tokens between chains is faster and cheaper.
Applications feel more connected, even if they live on different networks.
Withdrawals that used to take days can happen in minutes (once full execution - wen? soon)
The most bullish part of the announcement, in my opinion, More configurations are in development, including for stacks like Arbitrum Orbit and ABC Stack.
The goal is to support as many different chain types as possible, while still connecting them through the same interoperable layer.
The future of the internet is coming fast, and it's brought to you by Agglayer.

The future of finance is decentralized.
DEX volume share is eating away CEX dominance.
We saw peak DEX-to-CEX spot volume in January. Despite a pullback, share remains near all-time highs, staying above 12%.
This isn’t a blip, it's structural.
Why is this happening?
- Onramping has significantly less friction.
- Custody risk post-FTX has changed behavior.
- Stablecoins make settlement easy.
- Protocols are leaner and more composable than ever.
- Onchain liquidity is deeper and more efficient.
- Incentives and yield is significantly higher onchain than in TradFi.
Users are increasingly going onchain for trades, swaps, and stablecoin moves.
The UX gap between DEXs and CEXs is shrinking fast, while incentives are flipping in favor of DEXs.
Polygon is helping drive this shift.
With fast finality, low fees, and deep integrations with DeFi protocols, our infrastructure is making onchain trading accessible at scale.
zkEVM and CDK make it possible for institutions and retail to onboard safely.
Onramps are getting better.
Wallet UX is improving.
Gas is abstracted away.
Execution environments are customizable.
The primitives are finally maturing.
Decentralized finance is going to win.

I waited a week to write this.
Not because I needed time, but because I didn’t want it to sound like hype.
It’s not. It’s conviction.
Last week, I attended my first company offsite for @0xPolygon Labs.
One week later, I'm still so bullish.
This team is stacked.
But it’s not just technical IQ. It’s the kind of sharp, focused thinking that comes from being in it—deep in the weeds of DeFi, real-world assets, infrastructure, consumer products. People who don’t just talk about the future of Web3—they’re actively building it.
I feel so lucky to be surrounded by some of the brightest minds in crypto. Engineers who could explain ZK proofs in their sleep, the growth team who knows every corner of the industry, and marketing & devrel team who never loses sight of the user.
Strategically, we’re locked in.
The direction Polygon is heading hits exactly where the industry needs to go and where others haven’t delivered.
We’re going to win at payments and real-world assets (RWAs). That’s not a marketing play, it’s a reality.
That's where the real value is for everyday people.
Think peer-to-peer transfers, remittances, seamless payments. We’re not extracting value. We’re unlocking it.
But it doesn't just stop there.
We're giving DeFi degens and retail investors the tools they need to maximize yield. We are enabling users to turn non-productive assets into productive ones. Whether it’s through DeFi-native experience or RWA integrations, we’re enabling wealth creation from the ground up.
And we are building this for everyone.
We know what kind of infrastructure real institutions need to operate more efficiently, transparently, and with less friction. This leads to less extraction and more value for the end user. That’s how we grow the pie.
This isn't just going to help Polygon win - this is going to help the entire industry win. And most importantly, it's going to help the user win.
The vision for Agglayer is about unlocking a seamless, unified UX across chains, giving projects the freedom to launch purpose-built chains without suffering from fragmentation.
The Agglayer connects it all: different chains, different users, different use cases, through a cohesive, interoperable layer. It enables true collaboration, not competition.
We're building a unicorn.
A win for Polygon. A win for Web3. A win for users.
So yeah, I waited to write this.
But the feeling hasn’t faded, it’s settled in deeper.
The team is special.
The vision is clear.
The opportunity is massive.
And we’re just getting started.

We have infrastructure for devs, but we need infrastructure for users!
What do I mean by this?
I'm seeing so many hype posts around killer apps (and so many are killer) but I'm not seeing excitement around perhaps the most important piece of infrastructure - intent systems.
We can do the simple things like make a payment, but as we get more complex, the average user is going to struggle.
This is why so many of web3 apps are inaccessible for beginners. Users are expected to execute every step of every transaction along the way. This adds so much more complexity than the web2 infra they are used to.
Imagine a chef asking patrons to decide each and every ingredient and exactly how the dish is prepared..... nobody would go to that restaurant.
The future is pretty clear: AI agents and dapps need to understand us. Not just execute transactions.
When we nail this, we really start onboarding the masses.

Intents are about to usher in a new age for consumer crypto.
But unless you're a dev, you probably have no idea what they are or what they do.
Sound like you? Keep reading
Don't have time to read? Bookmark this and come back later
Basically, intents let users state goals without specifying the exact steps to achieve them. The focus is on what the user wants to accomplish rather than how it should be executed, leaving the execution details to be handled by other parties or mechanisms in the system.
This is a shift from traditional transaction models, where users explicitly define every detail of a transaction (e.g., "send X amount of token A to address B").
As a user, if I'm swapping USDC for ETH, I care more about getting the most ETH possible than I care about the routes taken to get the ETH.
If I'm bridging from Ethereum Mainnet to Polygon PoS, I don't care what bridge is used (typically), I just want to use the bridge that has the lowest fees.
Intents means the user doesn't need to manually find the best exchange, calculate gas fees, or optimize the route - it just gets them the best possible outcome.
But how do they work?
Once an intent is declared, its processed by a network of solvers, fillers, or automated protocols that compete or collaborate to fulfill the intent efficiently. This means the end user gets best experience possible as all the complexity of blockchain transactions get abstract to achieve the optimal outcome.
Now, building intent-based systems requires sophisticated infrastructure, and that's where Polygon & Agglayer really stand out.
We (not me, I just get to cheer the people on) built Plonky3, an advanced ZK proof system that accelerates verifications and reduces costs and delays for intent-based apps.
We are a core contributor to Agglayer, connecting blockchains to create a unified liquidity pool where intents can be fulfilled seamlessly across ecosystems in a single click.
We are scaling DeFi through fast, secure, zero-knowledge transactions, perfect for executing intents like optimized token swaps or staking.
So now you know, intents make life easier. State your goal, and let the solvers work their magic.
At Polygon, we aren't just supporting intents, we are redefining how DeFi and Web3 scale for the future.

Stablecoins are the future of payments.
Stables now represent over 1% of the U.S. money supply, with a total value of approximately $192 billion.
More individuals are shifting their assets onchain, meaning this number will only grow.
What does this mean for businesses?
Companies MUST adopt onchain payment solutions or lose customers to competitors who have already done so.
We can expect the stable supply to rise significantly, from 1% to 10%, 50%, and even 90% of all M1 money. Consumers will increasingly demand seamless, frictionless payment experiences.
@0xPolygon PoS stands out as the leading blockchain for payments, offering quick transaction finality and low fees. Its dominance in this space is likely to grow, especially with Agglayer facilitating interoperability across chains, simplifying transactions further.
