Some of my posts upset part of the internet-computer:native community, but you know, if you had been following me for the past few years, you would know that my story and my opinion about certain people in this ecosystem have not really changed. The only difference is that some of the things I said before have now proven to be true, and more people than before are starting to see things they unfortunately didn’t see earlier.
My opinion of ICP has not really changed since I first started following its development. I still believe ICP is a phenomenal project and deserves far more attention. I don’t want to be some kind of influencer, nor do I want to monetize my social media content, so what I post is simply my opinion... and I have every right to express it. Whenever I’ve made serious claims, I’ve always provided evidence, and I don’t think I’ve ever accused someone of something they didn’t actually do. I absolutely do not hate anyone in this or any other community, but whenever I have the time, I will always fight for the truth.
I also have every right to express my opinion about Jerry, who has a long history of manipulative and dishonest behaviour, and I have solid evidence for that which I’ve posted more than once. Yet there is always someone who comes along and says, “this project sucks” or “I don’t like it,” and suddenly that gives Jerry full permission to shit all over that project and its developers... even when what he says is false. There is no point arguing with people like that, and they certainly don’t deserve to be treated kindly.
I also want to address marketing in ICP.
Yes, ICP needs marketing. But marketing is not a process where the community simply decides what should be promoted and how, because, with all due respect, very few people actually understand what marketing is or how complex it is.
What many people seem to think marketing means is simply having a bunch of people shill ICP, with no audience targeting whatsoever, as long as as many videos as possible are pumped out and as many impressions as possible are generated. And impressions are pushed to the front because anyone with half a brain understands that actual views matter far more.
But even video content itself is only one small part of marketing. Marketing is a much broader discipline.
Some people, like Alex, actually produce video content that is worth watching, and I have to admit that I like his style even though we disagree on many things.
Now let’s get to what I actually have a problem with.
I will never — and I mean never — accept people like Jerry and Bobby as the faces of ICP. I’ve already said this a thousand times.
Both of them are full of toxicity, arrogance and ego — exactly the kind of traits marketing does not tolerate well.
One of them has spent years making videos about other projects supposedly going to zero, speaking against meme coins, and is now behaving in complete contradiction to what he spent all those years preaching. On top of that, he is unstable in his character and behaviour, and people like that have no place anywhere near serious marketing.
Sure, at times he can be funny or entertaining, but that does not erase all the bad things he has done over the years.
The other one constantly tries to drag people into debates where he presents himself as intellectually superior and everyone else as inferior. He keeps pushing his own narrative without really listening to what anyone else has to say, and then wonders why nobody wants to debate him.
Relax, man. You’re not Crypto Jesus.
I’m sure both of them have introduced some people to ICP. But it is also obvious that we are still a very small community, and their actual impact is nowhere near as significant as they seem to believe it is. At the same time, they also damage the ecosystem through their toxic behaviour.
On the other hand, after listening to one of Jerry’s latest videos and reading some of the comments from others, I’m now hearing that DFINITY should apparently start following the same path as networks like Solana... the same Solana people used to accuse of bribery, dishonesty and deceptive marketing.
Now suddenly Solana’s marketing is amazing.
I believe ICP can succeed without playing those kinds of dirty games.
And some people have made a very important observation.
Jerry is sick and needs professional help, and everyone who keeps encouraging and reinforcing his behaviour and decisions he makes is probably doing him more harm than I am by criticizing him.
This text is polished by ChatGPT... mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.
I think I've found the perfect way for @anal_token to bring the entire crypto industry to ICP. 😂
Let players choose their opponent: Dominic Williams, Jerry, Bobby, Pierre... basically anyone from the $ICP ecosystem.
Then let them customize their own fighter with outfits, logos, and gear from whichever ecosystem they support. NEAR, Solana, Ethereum... everyone is welcome.
The goal? Beat the crap out of your "favorite" ICP personality. 🥊😂
Judging by how much love these guys get, both inside and outside the ecosystem, this could become ridiculously popular.
Imagine thousands of ICP haters discovering they have to use an ICP app just to punch Dominic Williams.
Now THAT would be some hilarious onboarding. 😂
Looks like @Empierrepump, Ruggy, and Dommy are traveling the crypto world on a little educational mission. 😂
Their goal? "Politely" explain why $ICP is the only blockchain technology with a relevant use case beyond the blockchain industry.
Three very friendly gentlemen, patiently sharing their knowledge and encouraging open-minded discussion.
I'm sure everyone feels completely free to disagree. 🤣

I have no idea who decided to launch an SNS1 token on @soonlaunchpad, but I'm pretty sure most people in the $ICP ecosystem don't even know the history behind that name. 😂
Those were some fascinating times.
I still remember the hype surrounding the original SNS-1, when its price was hovering around 900 ICP and people were telling everyone to buy before they got left behind.
I was actually warning people to be careful while others were busy predicting how much higher it would go.
And what a story followed...
The hype, the speculation, the drama, and everything that happened afterward. There's enough material there for a documentary. 😂
Those who've been around since the early days of ICP know exactly what I'm talking about.
That was quite a chapter in this ecosystem's history.

I'd rather discover a product worth using than another token worth speculating on.
More of that, please. @clownitx is helping make it happen on $ICP.
Crypto timelines are full of people telling you what to buy. I'd rather see someone show me something worth trying.
One creator demonstrating a genuinely useful feature can spark more curiosity than a dozen polished announcements.
@clownitx gives projects a way to reward creators for making those introductions, while leaving them room to tell the story in their own way.
And there's something I particularly like about this approach: a dApp running on $ICP can help people discover products from practically any ecosystem.
The next interesting thing you discover might be something you've never even heard of.
Some people have asked me why I spend so much time promoting and defending the $ICP ecosystem.
Well, I've been in crypto for about 10 years, and ICP is the only ecosystem where I've found applications I genuinely enjoy using and actually find useful beyond simply trading tokens and staring at charts.
That's a pretty good reason, isn't it?
I'm not a fan of unnecessary toxicity, but I do appreciate people like @CambrinNolan who aren't afraid to speak their minds about some of the nonsense going on in this industry.
Sometimes you just have to call bullshit what it is. That doesn't necessarily make you toxic. 😂
It's good to see @icprenegades making an effort to help people who are going through difficult times.
The crypto world is full of greed, and unfortunately, we've seen more than enough scams. So when someone comes along genuinely trying to help others, they're often met with suspicion or immediately accused of being a scammer.
I understand where that skepticism comes from. Years of bad experiences have taught people to be cautious, and there's nothing wrong with asking questions or demanding transparency.
But not everyone is out to deceive you.
It's a shame that so much trust has been lost in this industry that even people with good intentions have to struggle to earn it.
I hope this initiative continues to help those who need it. $ICP
Had to do this one.
E.T. was one of those films that stayed with me from childhood, so turning that iconic scene into pixel art felt like an easy choice.

Mine $PIKO, then use it: dice, blackjack, poker, a pixel canvas, all running on-chain on $ICP. No company server in between, just smart contracts. piko.network
Looks like whoever launched a token using my X handle on @soonlaunchpad has made an absolute fortune. 😂
11 days later, $0 trading volume and a market cap that practically requires a microscope to read.
I hope the creator hasn't spent all those profits in one place. 🤣 $ICP
LOL, how the fuck Verstapen has more votes than Charles and Kimi ? 😂😂😂

The NEAR guys have had quite a lot to say about $ICP lately.
So @empierrepump decided to pay them a friendly visit and hear their arguments in person. Naturally, he brought Ruggy along. 😂
Funny how everyone suddenly looks a little less enthusiastic about the debate.

Lately, NEAR folks have been popping up everywhere whenever $ICP gets mentioned. 😂
Since they're so fired up, I've got the perfect way for them to blow off some steam.
There's a little fighting game on ICP by @anal_token where they can step into the ring as ANAL, throw a few punches, and work through all that frustration.
Who knows, they might even discover that using ICP is more fun than arguing about it. 🥊😂
There's no shortage of games that add a token, throw in a few NFTs, and call it Web3 gaming.
But I think @CambrinNolan is asking a much more interesting question with Infinity Arcade: what can players and developers actually do differently because of the technology behind it?
If blockchain doesn't offer anything beyond what a conventional gaming platform already provides, why use it in the first place?
That's the kind of question I'd like to see more developers asking before building on $ICP.
I think @CambrinNolan makes a fair distinction.
Putting a game on-chain doesn’t automatically make it better. The interesting part is what sits around the games — ownership, shared assets, economies, and community control.
You don’t need every frame of gameplay on-chain to get something meaningful out of it. $ICP
What if @PrinterOTC turned printing into a racing game? 🏎️
Printer World takes things beyond coins and NFTs, with Speedway, mini-games, and an entire pixel-art world to explore.
A launchpad is one thing. A launchpad with its own racing world is a bit more fun. 😄

Sometimes it's not what you say about a product, but how you explain its value.
@clownitx gives creators the freedom to find the angle that connects with their audience. $ICP
Two people can look at the exact same product and walk away with completely different impressions.
One lists the features. The other frames why one of those features actually matters to a specific audience. The second one usually gets the attention.
That’s the idea behind Frame the Signal.
With @clownitx, projects can push their own message, or they can let independent creators decide how to present it. A developer knows what was built. A creator often knows a better way to make someone care about it.
Same product. Different frame. Sometimes that’s all it takes for the signal to land.
A practical example of InfoFi on $ICP.
I can't make the game, but I figured a few DOMMY posters wouldn't hurt. 😂
@icprenegades, now we just need someone to actually build it.
Preferably someone who's played enough horror games to know that running away is rarely a winning strategy. 🤣
It looks like another paid informant @Justin_Bons will come into contact with Dommy and finally settle the debate #ICP
Ghostbusters was one of my favourite movies growing up. I even had a bunch of Ghostbusters stickers that I used to stick absolutely everywhere. LOL
