The antisemitism envoy told the Royal Commission that Gaza’s death toll was “grossly inflated” and that the UN accepted this. The UN said otherwise. When I asked she said she “notes” the UN’s views.

🇦🇺 Australia's Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism Jillian Segal told a national inquiry in July that it was "well-known and even accepted by the United Nations" that Gaza's death toll is "grossly inflated."
The UN rejected that. "Independent validation of subsets of the data has found no significant discrepancies," UN Secretary General spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric has said.
