Nameless, faceless opponents. Don’t give your opponent too much respect. Just compete with all you got against the game itself.

I took some heat from insinuating baseball players were the best athletes
Looks like I wasn’t that crazy after all
People hate it, but track doesn’t transfer to sport as well as a lot of people would like you to think

These kids better never talk back again in their whole entire lives.
She tied her two young children together in the basement. Then she threw her body on top of them.
A tornado was heading straight for their home.
When it hit, the house collapsed.
Two steel beams crushed Stephanie Decker’s legs. Seven ribs broke. Her legs were almost completely severed.
But underneath her were her two children.
Alive.
Then they realised something horrifying:
Another tornado was coming.
Stephanie couldn’t stand. Couldn’t run. Couldn’t free herself.
So she pulled the blanket over her children, wrapped her arms around them and covered them with her broken body.
Again.
The second tornado passed.
Neither child had even a scratch.
Stephanie survived, but lost both legs.
People called her a hero.
She simply said:
“I call myself a mom.”

Connor Norby, who was on deck, gave us his thoughts on Colton Cowser's game winning catch:
"Honestly, I'm not surprised. I've seen him do it like 5 or 6 times from all the way from Aberdeen to now... He's probably the best I've seen at making those type of catches..."

A Division III basketball team spent eighteen months raising money to send one senior home.
They lost every dollar of it.
Then Mark Cuban called the coach out of nowhere.
The University of Dallas is a small private Catholic school in Irving, Texas. Their men's basketball team went 10-15 last season.
They also have a tradition. If a player from outside their conference's geography sticks with the program for three years, the team takes him home for a series of games.
Senior forward Michael Kennedy grew up in the London suburbs.
So for eighteen months, the whole program fundraised to take the team to England. Family, friends, everybody chipped in. They raised over $65,000.
They booked it through a travel company called GoPlay Sports.
Two months before the travel date, GoPlay emailed head coach Matt Grahn to say it was taking steps to file for bankruptcy and could no longer fulfill the booking.
Roughly $60,000, gone. And GoPlay had also donated a trip for two to England that the school had auctioned off, which put them even deeper underwater.
Grahn's description: "It was a complete punch to the gut."
Kennedy had been planning what he'd show his teammates. Where he lived. Where he grew up. Playing in front of his parents.
So the players did the only thing they could think of. They went on TikTok and told people what happened.
They raised $13,000 on their own. Still $47,000 short.
Then back in May of this year, on a Wednesday, Mark Cuban contacted Grahn directly and said he wanted to donate.
Thirty thousand dollars.
Grahn's reaction: "It took everything I had not to just bawl openly on the phone. It's incredible. $17,000 definitely looks better than $47,000."
The team posted a thank you video. "We're incredibly grateful, Mark. Our team is one step closer to recovering what we lost."
Worth noting one honest detail. CBS News and PEOPLE both checked, and GoPlay has no record of actually filing for bankruptcy. The university's attorneys are still trying to recover the original money.
But the thing that gets me is the scale of it.
Mark Cuban has owned an NBA franchise. He's worth billions. Thirty thousand dollars is not a number he thinks about.
To a Division III program in Irving, Texas trying to get one kid home to play in front of his parents, it was everything.
He didn't announce it. He didn't hold a press conference. He saw a TikTok from a 10-15 basketball team and picked up the phone.
