Lauren Winans, 31, was arrested on October 22, 2026, for sexually abusing a family member under 12! 😡 She is charged with first-degree sodomy (Class A felony), first-degree incest (Class A felony), and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse (Class C felonies). All four counts involve the same child under 12. Kentucky State Police investigated the case after the 2022 allegations came to light; she was indicted by a Nelson County grand jury the day before her arrest. She was released from jail the next morning on a $250,000 cash bond with a no-contact order.

Nancy Lescarbeau, 52, was arrested on October 7, 2026 in Canada for sexually assaulting a student. She was charged with 8 offences, including sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, invitation to exposure, forcible confinement, intimidation by threats of violence, assault with a weapon, and assault. The alleged offences occurred between 2021 and 2022 while she was a teacher with the Ottawa Catholic School Board. Police began investigating the allegations in September 2026 and are concerned there may be other student victims. She was immediately removed from the classroom once the board was notified of the charges.

Scott McMahon, a US citizen from the Seattle area, moved to the Philippines in 2003. He settled there, started a family with a Filipino fiancée, and had two children who are Filipino citizens. He worked in construction. In 2011, Scott was arrested in Muntinlupa City on rape charges filed by a woman who was the wife of a friend. According to his mother and supporters, the allegation came after Scott had filed a complaint against the woman for traumatizing his young son during an incident where she had entered his home with police while looking for her estranged husband. Scott was detained from April 7, 2011. The case rested entirely on the woman's claims, as there was no physical evidence. She alleged the incident occurred months earlier, but waited to report it. Scott spent more than five years in the Muntinlupa City Jail, much of it awaiting trial. On August 2, 2016, a Manila court acquitted him. The judge found no clear evidence that he had committed rape and described the accusation as lacking credibility, appearing to be merely leverage or an afterthought to the complaint Scott had previously filed against her. He was released that day. After the acquittal, a separate issue arose. Scott’s Philippine visa had expired in 2013 while he was detained and unable to renew it. The Bureau of Immigration required payment of overstay fines reported in the thousands of dollars before he could leave the country. Contemporary reports stated he risked re-arrest if he tried to depart without paying, and that his family sought US government assistance. Scott later confirmed in 2025 interviews that the immigration obstacle was resolved and that he returned to the US. He remained a US citizen throughout; nothing indicates he obtained Philippine citizenship.

David and Kristin Knouse met in 2012 and began a sexual relationship in 2018 that ended the following year. His defense presented evidence that she became jealous of another woman he was interested in and then sought to have him fired. A jury has now found Kristin liable for defamation and awarded him $6 million, yet she remains an assistant professor at MIT! 😡 Due process is not exactly a priority for institutions. They care about having a certain conclusion… ‘Get this guy out of here and make an example of him.’” While it’s great that SOME form of accountability finally arrived, it was justice significantly delayed.
