Donald Trump was in Dalton yesterday… oblivious to the collapse of his presidency. A crowd smaller than this one endured two hours of senile babbling while the price of oil hit its five month high.

The Silent Strategist: How Ottawa Has Now Upended Washington's Trade War -
The latest numbers are out, and they reveal an extremely unexpected reality in the North American trade dynamic.
As highlighted in a recent Financial Post report, Canada’s bilateral trade surplus with the United States has nearly DOUBLED, skyrocketing to a massive $11.2 billion.
So, while Washington claims its heavy tariffs aim to isolate the Canadian economy, the actual market reaction tells a completely different story.
American companies are now facing panic.
Desperate to secure stable supply chains, U.S. trade representatives and major domestic industries are frantically calling their Canadian counterparts to secure vital goods.
This massive surge in exports is accelerating because American factories are rushing to stockpile critical Canadian raw materials and products before trade conditions tighten further.
This shifting momentum reveals a strategic change.
While keeping the stereotypical polite Canadian smile on the world stage, Canada is now actively MAXIMIZING its economic intake from the U.S. while sneakily pivoting toward new international alliances. lol.
This independent behavior has created VERY deep anxiety inside the current American administration, especially as Ottawa REFUSES to chase after Washington until substantial, respectful offers are brought to the negotiating table.
Canada is happy to accept American capital for its high-value exports, but the country is NO longer letting Washington dictate the terms of trade.
The ongoing export 'boom' proves that Trumps aggressive trade pressure has COMPLETELY backfired.
Instead of weakening its northern neighbour, it has left critical sectors of American industry increasingly reliant on Canadian supply.
Exactly how our government has planned all along.
Prime Minister Carney knows EXACTLY what he's doing.
Hats off to a brilliant economic war prime minister in the face of the largest economy in the world.
Canadians can be proud.
The Americans have absolutely NO idea who they screwed with.

It's a shame education is not a priority in the United States. Magas like marc who follow a convicted felon and serial sex offender who is making billions for himself and family while Americans can't afford gas are the dumbest people on the planet. Can't fix stupid.

Carney is talking about bringing private money into Canada’s four biggest airports. Before everyone starts yelling “they’re selling Pearson,” here’s how Canadian airports actually work. The federal government owns the land. It does not run the airport day to day.
Toronto Pearson is run by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, the GTAA. That is not a government department. It’s a private not-for-profit. No shareholders. No dividend cheques. It charges airlines and passengers, borrows money, and then pays Ottawa rent for using the land. Last year that rent was about $236 million.
So if your mental model is “the government operates Pearson like a post office,” that’s already wrong. You already pay for it through landing fees, the extra fee on your ticket, parking, and overpriced airport food. A chunk of that money goes back to Ottawa as rent.
The catch is the not-for-profit part. The GTAA can’t raise equity. It can’t sell shares and bring in a pile of investment cash. It can mostly just borrow and charge passengers more. That’s like owning a giant mall and only being allowed to renovate it with a credit card and a cover charge at the door.
The same basic setup exists at the other big hubs: Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver.
What Ottawa is floating is not “we’re selling the runways and the dirt.” The government keeps the land and the assets. The idea is long-term concessions: private investors and operators put capital into the big airports, and Canada recycles that value into other infrastructure, especially smaller regional airports that can’t fund themselves.
That’s the actual pitch. The busy hubs already print money. The airports that keep smaller cities connected often don’t. Use the mature asset to fund the ones that need help.
The smart question is not “public versus private.” Pearson is already privately operated. The smart question is whether the deal is regulated tightly enough that a new operator can’t just jack fees and call it modernization.
Don’t argue the cartoon version. Argue the real one.

🇨🇦Carney 🔥🔥: "Canada existed long before Trump was born, and it will exist long after he will be forgotten from people memory's.
Canada is a sovereign G7 nation, not an American dependency waiting for permission to exist.
Canadians will stand together from coast to coast" 🔥👏

Even Fox Business News just destroyed Trump's stupid tariffs on Canada.
"We need more cooperation with our Canadian friends rather than picking these unnecessary and damaging fights. And this trade deficit that's got the White House in a lather comes mostly from heavy crude that we import that we need for gasoline and other products that we sell here and elsewhere. "We're shooting ourselves in the foot and also other places by putting a tariff on. It's just one of these inexplicable things, especially on a Monday morning, almost leaves one speechless at the absurdity and the destructiveness of the whole thing. Stop it, stop it. Stop it."

BREAKING NEWS: Canada's economy grew by an annualized 3.3% in second quarter, fastest pace since 2023. StatsCan also revises Q1 numbers to 0.3% growth. Remember concerns about technical recession. Yeah, there wasn't one. The rebound in growth was driven by exports and investment - which means business led the charge.
