I feel at the end of the day, this is what people wanted right? Answers to questions. But I guess what it really meant is that they wanted their pet theories to be proven right. And in the great irony that it is, they shut down certain theories and now people are mad.
Here at store opening and there’s still a long line for Zelda. For a store that also had a healthy midnight launch.
Kinda difficult to make any comment on this either way, but you can definitely feel like the franchise is back to square 2 on this one. Not too much heat on Engage, but after 3H, a lot happened that kinda derailed FE momentum on the whole.
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave has sold 1.34 million copies as of September 30. It launched on September 17 worldwide: rpgsite.net/news/21700-fire-…
It’s not Engage’s fault that things quieted down, but it was put in a fairly terrible position to attempt to carry series interest on its own, and when it didn’t do that, more people fell off, resulting in the franchise needing to be revived again. This is a new starting point.
Why are people acting like Alexandra and Catania are unpopular characters…? Pegasus flier-coded units will always be a staple in the franchise, and they’re the designated ones for this game. Always a guaranteed popularity boost.
It’s becoming increasingly evident that people just want devs to be machines with no creative input during the game dev process. Surely they make a blueprint from conception, everything is solved and it’s all just mechanical work. They’re just factories creating a product, right?

gamplay IS the most important aspect of videogames however most people that agree with this statement thinks gameplay = combat and combat only
With Soul Hackers 2 being thoroughly average and OG SMTV being just “eh” until SMTVV, I get why folks are lukewarm on SMT-verse stuff. What gets me is that Metaphor did blow up and Atlus’s response was… crickets two years later. Not even extra content for the Switch 2 port.
Are people being willfully ignorant? Y’all know Nintendo lobbies in the US Gov right? This is public knowledge.
It's very funny how afraid they are to market the next game before they release their current one to avoid getting in the way of its shine, and here's Miyamoto preempting OoT Remake with a Pikmin megaton announcement.
I see that we've cycled outta the "boo hoo game incomplete" discourse back to "boo hoo I hate Leda" discourse.
I didn't really think people would be falling into this pitfall due to a Fire Emblem game of all things, but preconceived notions about how stories are generally written have fooled people into seeing any deviation from the norm as... incorrect.
